List of questions

First off: What modern footage acquisition formats are there? Heres the one I have listed:

-MiniDV
-DVcam
-HDV
-DVCPro (25/50)
-DVCPro HD
-Betacam SX
-16/35mm film
-Digital Bemtacam
What else are there?

Also, lets say some footage is acquired using one of the fancy expensive digital betacams... What NLE out there works with this sort of footage, and what sort of format (mov, avi) is it saved from , when captured from a digibeta deck...

The digital betacam deck/VTR would have SDI-out.

Any editing system with SDI-in can accept this signal. i.e. Avid with hardware (i.e. mojo, media composer, nitris, etc.), Final Cut with hardware capture card (aja, decklink, blackmagic), media100, etc.

The editing system needs to put some sort of wrapper around this data. It can be AVI or quicktime.

2- Other formats:
HDCAM
HDCAM SR
D-5 (panasonic)
XDCAM / HDV @ 35mbps with a .mxf wrapper

Film:
70mm
8mm
super versions of 16mm, 35mm, 8mm
?anamorphic/cinemascope

Sort of an acquisition format but also kind of not:
Cameras like the Dalsa Viper and Origin and ?Arri D-20 output data.... which needs to be recorded onto a hard drive or flash-based recorder, or onto a VTR (i.e. HDCAM SR).
