DVD's dual layer

Do you use or recommend using the dual layer DVD's? Would you get a lot more time on them then the regular ones?

Richard,

Dual layer - double the storage. They usually cost more than two single layer discs though. I've been happy using them - but only for large files or long video DVDs. Dual layer burners are cheap now.

Just wish the disks were. Just bought a spindle of 100 regular single layer DVDs for $30 (Canadian). Dual layer's are still over $2.50 a disk at the cheapest, $5.00 a disc typical.

I did buy a spindle of 25 at CompUSA awhile back for $29.95. Haven't seen 'em that cheap since!

It must have been a mis-marked price.

Dual Layer - HD-Player

If one had a DVD HD Player, wouldn't one have to use a Dual Layer DVD to capture the HD quality for your LCD or Plasma screen. Doesn't HD require more byte space compared to a single layer DVD?
