I have not used this before. It looks interesting but the film look effects that they are showcasing can be achieved simply by using the colour corrector tools and curves of any video editor program. Just a decent curves manipulator most likely built in to your video editor can accomplish very similar effects without needing to buy 'film look' programs.

Besides trying to get shallow DOF and interesting camera angles, afterwards in post I tend to increase the contrast, or make a slight s curve with the white and black balance. Then I raise the black levels to be dark charcoal grey. Then whatever colour correcting I want and a super fine noise filter.

There should be no need to purchase this software.
