helmetcam for off-road sports

im trying to find out what options i have for recording when riding my dirtbike off-road. Whats more dependable, minidv tape 0r P2/hard drive disk camcorder? Will I need both AV IN and OUT, or just IN?
60p/30p/24p really doesnt matter, but it looks like 60p is the best for capturing fast moving action.
Lipstck cameras, whats an affordable one that will get the job done.
Let me know what we can do please, thanks.

Sv-av100

I just noticed the SV-AV100. I like the SD card, sturdy enough for riding a dirt bike.

But its only has Output Interface, Composite (Video) • Audio (RCA) • Headphones Jack.

Wouldnt I need an INPUT interface with composite video and audio rca if I were using an external lens/capture piece such as a Lipstickcam to connect to the SV-AV100?
