Sony ECM-672 microphone question...

My ecm-672 is a little loose on the end, where the XLR cable plugs in. Anyone have an idea of how to tighten it back up? The battery cover slides down over the connection; but doesn't seem to off.
Thanks!

YIKES! well, I found that removing the upper housing enables the lower housing to slide forward. Found not only was the internal screw loose; but 2 tiny wires have become unattached from the little board... The screw the seems to hold this in place is on the plastic battery housing, and appears to be stripped out.

Any ideas on the best way to repair these?
Thanks again!
