I don't think so.

I checked http://www.parallelimported.co.nz and
http://www.etown.co.nz/detail.asp?item=1352

Both around NZ$2,199.00 now.

They were more dear around three months ago.

Maybe you can give me a URL to prove I am wrong.

Regards
Leigh

In fact, it is my wife who negotiate. I really am not good at that but I admire people who know.

Benjamin.

Leigh

10400 HKD is approx 1885 NZD

Add postage and 12.5% GST to that and the prices are so similar I'd rather have a NZ company to deal with guarantee issues

http://www.etop.co.nz have it for 2136 NZD

Cheers

Hi Mark,

I paid around US$1000 to www.pricejapan.com several months ago including shipping cost. I bought the camera for business purpose, so I claimed GST back. At that time www.etop.co.nz sell it for NZ$2,400 IIRC.

I think it is worth to buy directly from Japan for myself.

Regard
Leigh

Hi Leigh

Thanks for the pricejapan link. I would love to get for the price. Did you get NTSC or PAL? When I checked their website they explicitly state that only NTSC is available and I think I want to stick with PAL.

Mark, cams from pricejapan.com are strictly NTSC.

Hi Mark,

Only NTSC and menu is Japanese version as Tommy pointed out.

I don't think these two are so bad if consider price is quite reasonable good.

What I learned from my experience is to buy something extremely dear in New Zealand and very cheap overseas and the weight is not so heavy, i.e. video camera, projector. Of course warranty is an issue.

By the way, NZ dollar is very strong, so good to buy from overseas. 8)

Leigh

I bought a PAL GS400 for 1197 US$ from www.digitalfotoclub.com . it is based in US. The camera is free from transport noise and loved it.
