Do you mean that the specs for the AG-EZ50 are basically the same as for the MX5000? I can't find the camera on Panasonic's Pro site - maybe not a current model.

Does anyone know of a working link where I can download the instruction manual for the AG-EZ50U camera?

There is nothing at Panasonic and I found something at a univeristy web site but that link no longer works.

Can someone tell me how to start/stop and play back footage shot thru the viewfinder? I see it has forward/reverse buttons but no play or stop.

Also when you connect the IEEE dv cable from the camera to computer how do you set up the camera to transfer the footage?

I just got this camera and think it is great. Small and easy to hold. Does anyone know where to buy extra batteries?

Thanks
