Panasonic MQ tapes the best? Where to get them?

In regards to my recent post about my camera malfuntioning today- I may have to run the head cleaner and switch from Sony tapes to the highly recommended Panasonic MQ tapes.

I checked on B&H- is this them?:

Unless you are in a major city, you will have to mail order them. I use the PQ series, as they are a little cheaper, but very good still. I pay about $3-$4 each when I buy 5.

Glen,

yeah, the BH link is for the correct MQ tapes, but you can get a much better price from taperesources.com.

After buying a bunch of MQ's locally here in L.A. for over close to $8/each, I discovered taperesources, and bought another 20 MQ's for 5.86/each.

If you buy bulk over a certain amount, I think they might be even cheaper.

The official designation of the tapes is: AY-DVM63MQ.

I thought about using the PQ's, which are cheaper, but they're a "wet" formulation, so I stuck with the Panasonic-recommend MQ's, which are "dry" tapes, and supposedly easier on the heads, and not as prone to clogs.
