How to put the micro 5cm higher??? at DVinfo.net

Hi, I recently got the DVX100AE and have a loooong external micro. I am looking for a piece or a way to put the micro support 5 centimeters higher.

Is there any longer piece that re emplace the one provided that will get me this 5 cm?

Or this two screws on the camera......, are there standard, I mean can you screw there other micros-supports?

Now I use an adapter on the flash shoe, but then when I want to use the camera torch I do not have any place anymore...

Ideas (or links) are welcome.
