ROM upgrade from 100A to 100B?

No doubt a silly question, but I was wondering if anyone knows if Panasonic can provide some kind of update for a DVX-100A. Specifically, I covet the letterboxed display of anamorphic in the LCD etc. The squeezed display I find very difficult to work with. I assume the answer is "no" but wise folks than me might know the magic on this. Obviously not every new thing will work the same way.

No upgrade was ever offered.

u know, to be hoest i dont see why it wouldnt be possible save from CPU differences.. if teh B is faster (and i assume it is) correcting the squeeze isnt a problem obviously, but if the A is slower, then that correction is a processing step required which could very well kill the cameras functions if shooting 16:9, progressive, auto, gain up ...

U know, id like an update for the old 100, but its physically a different chipset and RGB processor, so theres no chance..

bummer..
