Two test clips of PAL DVX

Here they are:

25p with cine-gamma:

www.macgregorcorp.com/25p.avi

And the same shot in 50i mode with the same settings of the 25p:

www.macgregorcorp.com/50i.avi

The light today was beautifull. Both clips are 10 Mb and compressed in divx 5.02 at 10 Mbps (so quality is still very good but files not as big as DV).

Captured with vegas 4.0 ( i have to find out if this software is good in capture, because reds are not very good).

I do not know yet if the cine-gamma really is an advantage.
Color was +5.

NOte: clips are uploading, they will be ready in 20 minutes or so.

¡Amazing! The 25p footage looks beautiful, but...is it me or there's some flicker?

If it's possible... could you post a fixed shot (plano fijo) with movement inside the frame, without moving the camera?

Was that 'thin mode'? (I say this because I've seen noticeable edge enhancement at the end of the second clip, on the borders of the houses)

Thanks, Miguel. That's what I had been waiting.

Well, the 25p clip was not finished uploading because light went off.

Now it is done. THe 25p is in thin mode. The 50i is always in thick mode. Juan, do not worry for the thick mode. All cameras have thick mode by defect. The good thing inthis one is the thin mode.

Today i will make more shots with moving objets.

¿flicker, when and where?

It was me, I guess. On the other hand, I'd love to see a still JPG frame (DivX 5.02 doesn't seem to be very good).
