Shoulder Rig...straight or offset, monitor or no?

Hey, I'm still shopping for a shoulder rig for my cam. I'm wondering what you guys think of these options. If using a straight rig does flipping out the lcd put it in a straight line of sight? What about using the lcd on an offset rig? Do you prefer a monitor over the lcd?

GH2 with shoulder rig

Unfortunately, when you hook up the HDMI port of the GH2 you lose the focus assist and most importantly 1:1 crop mode. When I use it with my Indisystem Bulldog set up, I just use the on board display...Good enough.

By the way, that rig from Indisystem is GREAt: light, feels very solid, well built, and unexpensive (even more versatil if you get their FF system).
