10, 10.5, 12 or 15mm for the GH4 in 4K ???

Having a terrible time deciding between these for my next lens.

I already have the 17mm f/1.8, 25mm f/1.4, 42mm f/1.7 and the 100-300 zoom.

The 17mm Olympus is a fine lens, but a 42mm equiv is way to tight for 'easy' stabilizer work in 4K.

If only Panasonic would do an 11mm f/1.7, I would buy both that and a 15mm in a heart beat.

Curious what others are doing for a fast super wide on the GH4 ???

Cheers,
Pete

from experience, you don't need your super wides to be "very fast" on the gh4 especially at 4k, as any slight deviation in focus, you'll have soft details. on my BMCC speedbooster, my 11-16 tokina is a 14mm at the wide end, even though this lens is at f2.8, i'd still end up stopping it down to a "safe" f4 or f5.6.

If you shoot weddings the 12mm/f2.0 is a great lens, autofocus is fast and accurate, also when the lights go out. In the venues I shoot in it's always open at f2.0 on my steadicam, as long as you put your focus point a few meter in front of you keeping things in focus is not much of an issue

I ended up getting a Samyang 12mm f/2 for Christmas !!!

I haven't had a chance to properly use it yet, but so far from the few little clips I've tested it on, it's a great lens for $300.

Surprisingly it handles flares and hot spots really well. I'm really impressed.

Here's a few clips with the family
