If you could only have 2 types of diffusion...?

Ok you fanatic DOPs, out there... If you could only pack 2 types of diffusion, what would they be? 216? Opal? 250? Grid?

Just curious what everyone around the world is using these days.

Re: If you could only have 2 types of diffusion...?

Just wondering why you would limit yourself to only packing 2 types of diffusion?

A few years back I started carrying gel rolls so I could have a master collection of all the different types of diffusion and color correction gels available to spec any shoot.

They don't take up much space, and are very handy.

I use a P-Touch labeler to label each sheet so an assistant not familiar with the code number can quickly find what I call for.

For the record David, Dylan doesn't shoot anymore - he runs a video gear rental house. A number of his clients walk in and don't really know what they want other than the fact they want diffusion. I think he is looking for a safe solution that will satisfy the knowledgeable as well as the less knowledgeable / hobbyist

My main ones I rely on the most are Rosco 102 for heavy saturation for sporting events (cage fighting, boxing, pool tournaments, etc), Rosco 119 for most theatrical and general purpose applications, and Rosco 132 for lighter frost. Fortunately there are scores, maybe even into the hundreds of different types. Rosco, Lee, GAM (Great American Market), and Apollo are just a few of the manufacturers.
