Selling my Canon GL2, it only has about 25 hours on it. It has never been used for rewind, fast forward or playback.

It's in absolute MINT condition, always stored in a hard shell case when not in use.

Here's what I will include with the package:

-All the accesories that come with the camera, AC Adapter, battery, strap, manual, remote, etc.
-Hard Shell Black Aluminum Case
-WD-58H Wide Angle Lens
-MA-300 XLR Mic Adapter
-3 Generic BP945 Batteries
-58mm UV Filter (Hoya)
-58mm Circular Polarizer (Hoya)
-58mm soft filter (Hoya)
-I do have the original box, but I imagine it would be cheaper to ship it in the aluminum case.

I live in Vancouver, Canada and I'm looking to buy one of the above cameras. I would purchase from one of our sponsors but I have found that the cost of customs and shipping is prohibitive. Anyone suggest a local supplier so I can avoid the border hassle?

Personaly, I'm not a big fan of any local shop that carries the XL2, so I won't endorse any. If I had to buy it local, I'd pick the camera shop on Granville that starts with an "L", but I'd hate myself after.

I do like Lorne Lapham's, and they carry the DVX100, but they are one of the more expensive places. They'll treat you well though.

Check out www.henrys.com in Toronto. It's like Canada's B&H although a little more expensive.

Last time I checked out prices, it was still cheaper to order from B&H or one of the other sponsors in the US. I think B&H's price is down to $4300us now, which makes about $5100cdn, while most Canadian sellers prices I've seen float around $6000. Customs isn't really an issue, I've bought big ticket items from the US before, and you'll pay tax on it one way or the other.

I imagine right after christmas is probably the worst time to try and sell something. If it doesn't sell within a couple weeks I'll probably just take it off the market or post on ebay.

I have a 6 month old Sony DCR-VX2100 that I'd like to trade for a used DVX100a.

The camera is in perfect condition; has been well cared for since day one. A total of 12 hours are on the camera, and everything works as good as new. There's never been a need for repairs, or even a problem that was too small for a repair. Original box, manual, and other accessories included.
