Perhaps I'm way off but I thought that ebay links to start a thread were against the forum rules? I would actually really like to know myself as I have avoided it in the past.

Boyd Ostroff January 25th, 2005 10:23 PM

Patrick: You are correct, we don't allow these threads so I've removed the original post.

On ebay auctions, not that I know I should be mentioning this I think? I've seen most trv900's go for sale for around $1,000 dollars and some even as cheap as $700.00

WTB: 3ccd camera for aspiring student

Hello everyone,

I'm looking to purchase a camera for a couple of projects that I'm currently involved in. I'd like to get something in the range of a GL1 or 2, VX2000 or 2100 or a Panasonic DVC30. Of course, greater cameras would also grab my interest, but I'm looking into a price range of $1-2,000, depending on what's available/condition/quality and so on.

So, if anyone is looking to upgrade their camera, and wants to sell off an older one, please email me (mdrushane@yahoo.com).

Thanks for any interest in this thread.

Maikutis (call me mike).

My canon 1D for your XL1

I would like to trade my used canon 1D for a good condition XL1. The camera itself is in excellent working condition. Cosmetically outside i give it a 7 out of 10. The serial number is 11598. Along with it comes 2 lens, canon 50 1.8 and 85 1.8, both in great condition and comes with hoods. Comes with the all original accessories, battery, manual, charger, etc. Along with 2 extra 2200 generic batteries. 2 512mb sandisk extreme and ultra memory cards. And the lowepro computrek backpack. I am looking for a nice canon XL1 with all accessories and maybe some extra's.

Patrick Moreau January 26th, 2005 05:12 PM

I am selling my P+S Technik mini35 lens adapter. it is the 300 series and comes with a PL mount. This adapter will work with the XL1S. 7" 16:9 LCD Monitor w/ Canon Battery mount

I was given this as a gift, but already have two widescreen field monitors. It's a Lilliput monitor rated @ 336k pixels, in the box with cables, remote, etc. I had an extra Markertek camera plate with the Canon battery mount and ball mount, so I figured I'd offer it to someone looking for an inexpensive camera monitor for their XL2. I opened it up to make sure it would all wire together, other than that it's just been sitting in my studio in a box.

$150

Bob Costa January 27th, 2005 06:21 PM

See what I can learn hanging around? My guess would have been 190 hours. :) Truthfully, none of it makes sense to me. :(

K. Forman January 27th, 2005 06:40 PM

Just out of curiosity... What kind of video connections does it have? How long would it run on a battery?

Greg Boston January 27th, 2005 07:04 PM

Jim,

Sent you a private mail.

=gb=

Jim Giberti January 27th, 2005 07:05 PM

Can't really say as to battery time...I'm guessing pretty much the same as other LCDs running on a Canon depending on battery size. As I said, I haven't used it, but the connections are a RCA video and audio on one end and a multi pin connector in the other that interfaces with the monitor

Jeff Toogood January 27th, 2005 07:36 PM

I am pretty sure it translates to the following

Operation = 190 hours
Drum Run = 60 hours
Tape Run = 50 hours
Threading = 260 hours

IF this is incorrect, please say something, but I am pretty sure it is right.
Looks like about 50-60 tapes have been recorded on it.

Benny Ek January 27th, 2005 10:13 PM

Still up for Sale at 2700
Comes with 2 batteries instead of 3
no portabrace case

Bob Costa January 27th, 2005 10:20 PM

Excuse my ignorance. So on a PD-150, you can have the drum running without tape going thru it, have it operating without the drum running?. How would you track all of this, does the camera do it?

I don't know what threading is...

Rolland Elliott January 28th, 2005 01:02 AM

$350 new lowest price

Going once
Going twice,
Going.........
One last time before it goes to Ebay!
