Selling my 2 week old Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera package;
~ bought it to try it out but camera is too professional for my needs, this is a true film-maker's camera (or professional videographer.)
To make this camera shine, you must be good at color grading, which i am not, hence the sale~~~~
DaVinci Resolve works beautifully with the footage produced, truly professional outstanding quality!

Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera (in box as purchased when new- all papers and cords included!)
Genuine Sandisk Extreme Pro 128 GB SD Card (this is the ONLY SD card that is approved by Blackmagic for use with this camera normally $239!)
Rode Videomic Pro Stereo (bought 4 days ago- virtually new, this is the "Stereo" version which is more expensive and with better audio capture.)
The Rode Mic shown is the ONLY mic that works with these cameras as they need +20db signal into the camera for audio to be recorded, works beautifully!
(Other mics can be used if used with a preamp.)
3 Batteries total with car charger as well as a/c charger!

Any idea of cost to repair the camera? Is more or less unusable at this point? Does this model have the HD/SD SDI output via BNC? Thanks.

Hi,

I submitted a repair estimate on camcorderrepair.com they said to replace the head and the audio jack it will cost $268. They are based in L.A.

The camera is still usable if you use the FireWire or HD/SDI via bnc however, this model does not support audio through bnc, only video.

If you have an external FireWire HDD recorder or if you use the camera in a studio, it will work great. Or if you like the standard tape recording the repair will be worth it.

I am looking to pick up a used Canon XF305. I have been watching the forums for a while as well as ebay in hopes of finding one. All the ebay auctions I have seen are either damaged or have turned out to be scams when I dig in further. If you have one and want to part with it please let me know.

Yep,

I saw that one and am very tempted but the camera is to join my other two which I use for live production on an HD-SDI switcher for multi camera setups. I could connect it via HDMI I guess and always make that camera the closest one but I also lose the time code sync for later editing... I guess I could use a slate.... argh....

Ah, now I see why you're looking for the 305. Makes sense - just thought I'd bring it to your attention. Temped myself to do a AC160 crossgrade to the Canon!
