Petrol Raincover for small pro camcorders
 

Hi,

I have a Petrol raincover for sale, used only a couple of times on my Sony NX70. This is the item new:

You can see my thoughts on that page under "reviews". Note that despite my comments, I didn't "butcher" the raincover to fit the microphone cover, I made other arrangements!

Suitable for:
- Sony NX70
- Panasonic HMC41
- JVC GY-HM100
- Canon XM1/XM2 (GL-1/GL2)
- Sony HXR-MC50E
- Sony NEX-VG10

Or other similar-sized compact camcorders. In my opinion, these are the best raincovers around at this price range, the rigid "hood" is good at holding its shape, unlike the floppy material in other brands.

Still available.... so much glass, plastic and metal, so few pounds to buy it! £150 wouldn't even buy the 3x3 filters.

Just to be sure, there is no way to power it from the D-Tap of a V-mount battery?

Hi Gabor,

No, this is a Sony A-series battery only, you can't use D-tap power as far as I know. The monitor was really intended with Sony Alpha DSLRs in mind.

Let me check tomorrow, I'll get back to you. Please be aware that the charger has a UK plug on it, you'll need to lop it off an attach a US one, or use any standard 2-pin power cord.

Also - I'm not sure about shipping Lithium batteries to the USA - it appears as if there are new restrictions on this... it's kind of vague from the research I've done.

I can find equivalent batteries, and that charger won't work for me either.. you can keep 'em, just let me know a price for the monitor and all the other extras.
