Sony HDR-FX1 sold... Thanks!

here's what's still for sale....

Sony HVL-LBP led video light ( daylight balanced )
Purchased new from B&H just 3 months ago... I've only had a few opportunities to use this light and I must say that it works very nicely. It's bright enough to use as an on-camera fill in broad daylight. and has a wide enough and even spread to be used with the z1 and fx1 at their widest zoom. I'll include 1 NP-770 ( genuine sony $125 new ) battery

Asking $450 with free shipping in the lower 48 US

----------------

Steadicam merlin vest & arm + metal gimble
I was fortunate enough to be one of the first to get one of these ( it's serial #8 )... and it worked like a charm for the project I needed it for. Only has had about 6 hours of use and is in like-new condition. I'll include a zero haliburton case that the vest/arm fit in very nicely ( older case with some scuffs )
http://www.witzke-studio.com/hd/mercase.jpg
( the merlin will also fit in here )

Asking $1750 with free shipping in the lower 48 US

----------------

Steadicam Merlin
this is the signature model that includes the molded foam zipper case. I'll also include an accessory plate ( $130 new ) included extra weights... that allows you to put wireless receivers or hardrive recorders or whatever else on the merlin.... right now it's dialed in for a Z1 with shotgun and 550 batt.

Asking $675 with free shipping in the lower 48 US

----------------

Azden 200ULT dual-channel UHF on camera wireless mic system
This is the model that has 2 lav body pack transmitters.... it has worked great for a cooking show I did! very clear and sounds great! Still has the original batteries installed as it has not had much use.

Asking $450 with free shipping in the lower 48 US

Christopher Witz October 22nd, 2007 09:39 PM

Philip Boyer October 23rd, 2007 03:12 PM

I got the tripod, monopod, dolly, and case from him. All arrived as promised and packed nicely. The only problem I had was with UPS, which has become the norm for me and certainly isn't Heath's fault.

I'd certainly buy from him again.

Price drop before to go to eBay.

100$ + shipping and paypal fees. (it is 220$ new at B&H)

Mike Teutsch October 24th, 2007 08:59 AM

Karl,

That is the price for an XL2 and maybe a little high even for it right now.

Mike

Chris Hurd October 24th, 2007 09:33 AM

Karl, with an XL1S, there isn't very much demand here on DV Info Net and you might have better luck on Ebay. Start with a low reserve, don't offer a BIN, show plenty of pictures and let the bidders compete. It's a seller's market there.

I think you should keep the Bogen controller.

Vence Vida October 24th, 2007 11:09 AM

Canon XL2 for sale

I've got a Canon XL2 in excellent condition that I'm ready to sell, as I have moved to the XL-H1.

The camera has very low milage: approximately 35 hours on the heads. Camera was used professionally and delicately and kept safely cased when not shooting. I am the original owner and I purchased the camera new from B&H.

I will ship it in the original box with all original accessories, EXCEPT the little metal bracket thingy that can be screwed on the back of the camera for attaching certain outboard devices. I can't seem to find that. If I do, I'll include it. It also has a Tiffen lens protecting filter that I have kept on the lens at all times.

You will find several pictures here:
http://web.mac.com/vencevida/iWeb/Site/Home.html

Asking $2,350 out the door - that includes PayPal, shipping and insurance.

Thanks,

Vence Vida

Vence Vida October 24th, 2007 11:23 AM

Karl,

You might have better luck selling the accessories separately. The LCD screen and the Bogen lens controller have value of their own that you will most likely lose by selling them packaged with the rest of the XL1s kit.

Ever since the new HD series Canons came out, the price for used SD gear has just bottomed out. Trust me, I had 4 SD cameras to sell (3 GL2s and 1 XL2) this year as I migrated to HD. It was painful accepting the prices the market would bear, but it is, what it is. We also have an XL1 (the original) but we haven't even tried to sell it, because it has practically no value on the market. It's worth more, just to hang on to it, right now and use it for a little something, here and there.

I think Chris is right, you will get more for the camera on ebay. Buyers there are not as savvy as they are on this forum and tend to pay a bit more. BUT, I would sell the LCD and lens controller separately to maximize the income.

-Vence

Mike Teutsch October 24th, 2007 11:26 AM

Vence is absolutely right. Sell the camera and its regular accessories together and sell all of the accessories separately. I would included the rain cover in the stuff to sell apart from the camera.

Mike

Mark Bournes October 24th, 2007 11:33 AM

I sold mine a year ago and sold it with a lot of accessories, and only got$2500. (tripod, mic, light, 9" monitor, cables and so on)

Your better off listing it on ebay.

If you get $2000 consider yourself lucky.

Good Luck

Ken Grohs October 24th, 2007 12:12 PM

Is this the "little metal bracket thingy" that you can't find?
