Do you have pictures of the lens?

Jacques Mersereau July 20th, 2007 06:55 AM

I'll have to take some and get them up on a website.
I have clients this week in the studio so it probably
cannot happen until next week. I will try to get on it
asap and post back here. I am at work right now, but
I think there is not even a single scratch or nick on
the body and the glass is like new.

Chris Hurd July 20th, 2007 07:29 AM

Honestly I don't think any photos are needed... I know Jacques personally, and if he says the lens is like new, then you can take that as a fact. I'm happy to vouch for him. Here's some specific info on the 3x lens with pics: http://www.dvinfo.net/canon/articles/article38.php -- hope this helps,

Jacques Mersereau July 20th, 2007 08:15 AM

Thanks Chris. And Matt, I will take a very close look at the lens
once more and make sure it is near mint or excellent condition.
If I find anything I will take a picture and send it to you.
I can still go ahead and get some pics in case you pass
and someone else wants to see it.

FS: JVC GY-DV5100 full kit, studio acc.

Howdy folks!
My production company has recently moved to the HDV format and we are selling our SD equipment. This is a complete studio style setup based around the incredible DV5100. I have 20 pictures of the actual equipment, and have included vendor pricing and links for your reference (for some items the link is not the exact model but close enough to give you an idea). I am interested in selling all items as a package deal but may eventually consider offers for individual items. I also have this package listed on a different site.

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g2...frontangle.jpg

Here are the items included:
  1. JVC GY-DV5100U: includes camera body (only 60 drum hours!), VF116 Viewfinder, stock mic, A/B gold mount adapter plate, and tripod plate. New retail $5499.95.
    Vendor link
**Please note: the KA-A50U external mic holder is not included in my kit.

  2. Fujinon S6.4x20BRM lens: The quintessential mother of all lenses for this cam. Includes HOYA 82mm UV filter and front lens cover. New retail $2995.95.
    Vendor link

  3. JVC VF-P400U 4" CRT Studio Viewfinder: Very sharp, clear, and bright image. Slight image retention from target markers, does not affect viewability. Small scratch on left side of hood. New retail $729.95.
    Vendor link

  4. JVC SA-K400 Studio Viewfinder mount: includes hex screws. This bracket attaches to the top handle of the camera and allows the VF-P400U to be attached New retail $44.95.
    Vendor link

  5. Anton Bauer Titan2 Simultaneous Charger: This guy charges TWO Anton Bauer batts at the same time, usually in 2 hours or less! Has been a huge timesaver for me. Also provides up to 70 watts of power to run your camera directly. AC power cord and coiled 4-pin XLR power cable included. New retail $899.95.
    Vendor link

  6. Anton Bauer Hytron 120 battery: Holds a full charge. New retail $429.95.
    Vendor link
**Please note: the battery in this link is the Hytron 100. Mine is the 120 (120Wh, longer run time)

  7. Anton Bauer ProPac 65Wh battery: Holds full charge. New retail $314.95.
    Vendor link

  8. Bogen 3066 head on 3058 heavy duty tripod: Rock solid and smooth. Handles this fully loaded setup with ease. Dual pan handles included. New retail $1033.95. Vendor link
**Please note: the head in this link is the replacement model 516.

  9. Varizoom VZ-PRO-F Zoom Control: I love this zoom control. And I've used a few. My favorite feature is the speed zoom setting dial. I often will set this to the lowest zoom speed, hold down the rocker and get a perfect crawl zoom. The rocker also will perform variable zoom speed (the more pressure, the faster it zooms). New retail $379.95.
    Vendor link

  10. Fujinon CFH-2 Focus control handle: attaches to the pan handle. Used with the other two components listed below. New retail $322.95.
    Vendor link
**Please note: the model in this link is the CFH3 which replaced the CFH2.

  11. Fujinon CFC990 focus control cable: connects the focus control handle to the lens module. New retail $169.95.
    Vendor link

  12. Fujinon FMM-6A lens module: attaches to the focus section of the lens. New retail $322.95.
    Vendor link
**Please note: the module in this link is a more recent model #. Same unit as far as I can tell.

  13. NRG Varalux Pro light: model 56004 with the 4-pin XLR power connector. Mounts via camera shoe. The dimming feature of this light has been indespensable. There are also a wide variety of accessories available for it such as barndoors and color filters. New retail $219.95.
    Vendor link

  14. Anton Bauer PowerTap 4-pin XLR to A/B cable: This adapter allows the Varalux light to be connected to the powertap connector on the camera's A/B plate. The plate has a feature that will control the light when you trigger the camera's record function. Very cool and great way to save battery power (light only comes on when you record). New retail $44.95.
    Vendor link

  15. Pelican 1620 hard rolling case: This case is as close to bullet proof as it gets. I've customized the interior to fit most of the accessories listed above (4" studio viewfinder, batteries, charger, light, zoom and focus controls). It has room for more too! (does not hold the camera/lens - you'll need a seperate case for those) New retail $184.95.
    Vendor link

These items total just under $13,600 new retail. My asking price will start at $8,500. All items are in excellent functional condition, and most of them are also in excellent cosmetic condition.

While I don't have many posts on dvinfo.net, I'm no video newbie, nor am I new to selling professional video equipment. I've owned a Canon XL1, XL1s, GL1, GL2, JVC DV500, DV5000, and this DV5100. For your reference, my eBay ID is visualjourney - been buying and selling since 1999. 396 positive feedbacks and only one negative from someone I bent over backwards for but in the end he just refused to be reasoned with. Know anyone like that? ;)

Please email me with ANY questions. I will also be more than happy to give you my phone number if you prefer a phone conversation.

Sorry for the ridiculously long post!

Respectfully,
Dave Uriarte
