I had a previous post on this camera, but was unable to revise the price within the post so I'm reposting the sale of my JVC HD110U.

I ended up getting involved in a project that I needed this camera for and had to postpone selling it when I last posted it. I'm now ready to relist it for $3200 + shipping and half the paypal fee if you choose to pay that way.

Right now the hours on the heads sit at exactly 200.


With the camera I’m including about 10 JVC mini-dv tapes that can be used to record Standard Definition and High Definition footage along with 5 of the JVC Pro-HD tapes.

A UV Filter will be included on the lens. This has been on since day 1, so the lens is in perfect condition.

I also bought a plate for the bottom of the camera that allows it to be mounted to a quick release tripod plate. You can buy a used plate online and it will really help to balance the camera out on any tripod.

I’m including an Anton Bauer mount for the camera that lets you use any Anton Bauer gold mount battery. Most of those batteries will give you around 6 hours of run time.

I’ll be including 3 of the long life batteries that are stock for the camera. They don’t fit on the Anton Bauer mount. One is the original battery that came with the camera and is 2800mAh. The other two are 3500mAh and last a bit longer.

I also have a Petrol case for the camera that I am throwing in. It holds the camera perfectly along with some accessories and tapes. It’s waterproof and is small enough that I’ve been able to carry it on to planes several times for shoots.

I also had the viewfinder upgraded at the JVC service center in Aurora IL. This update involved strengthening its internals and replacing two of the plastic pieces of the viewfinder with stronger, better reinforced ones. This eliminated the weak point on the viewfinder which has plagued almost everyone I know who's owned the HD100 series cams.

Brand new EX-1/1 for sale
 

Just got my EX-1 from B&H litterally two weeks ago. Just shot my first wedding with it yesterday. After experiencing the workflow first hand I decided not to go forth with this workflow (ie buying a second one and more cards etc).

It's got 12 hours on it most of which were used with me sitting with it on a tripod learning all the menus and watching my Vortex Media Training DVD about it. Keep in mind the hour meter counts only operation hours (hours the cam has been on) unlike tape based cams who break down tape run, drum run, and so on.

I lucked out and got a new EX-1/1 (the "/1" designates it's one of the newer ones that comes shipped with the 1.11 firmware).

It's in absolute mint condition and have all the boxes, bags, accessories (including one 8gig SxS card), that come with it.

I went to return it to B&H but found out the hours meter has to be under 120 minutes- thus the reason I'm selling it here. Thanks in advance.

used in nice condition, we've updated our equipment and this guy is no longer necessary...beautiful Canon 16x manual lens, one regular battery/one extended battery, charger, Beachtek XLR adapter, and owners manual..the case is actually for the XLH1 and is brand new/never used, but its an extra one I don't need, so I'm happy to include it...this camera's served us admirably, and honestly, I'm a little sad to see it go...

If you were a PC user you would have no workflow problem :), not a dig, but it is true I have had mine for a year now and to me it is finally what I invisioned an HD camera for events to be, especially since I can use SDHC cards with it, I even edit from the cards themselves. So I am saying all this because I want prospective buyers to know that it is an amazing camera out of the box. It is tougher on MAC people though, a buddy of mine (MAC guy) spoke with Apple (this is an example) and they are still bitter about the whole Bluray thing and do not plan on adopting it anytime soon ( I do not believe FCP can edit native EX1). So, not a bash on Apple, just that with PC I natively edit in Premiere with ease on a system I have had for about a year and a half. This was written to help in selling your camera Glen, people would think that if someone of your rep and skill does not want it, they should not either.

yeah man, no problems here editing in FCS2. the SxS cards dont exactly work properly
in my MacBook Pro, but it isnt really a big deal.

Hey Glenn, if it works for them, what work flow do you not like? I am not real clear on the FCP work flow, is it native or do you have to convert to Pro res first, converting with Sony clip browser software? Heard from some MAC friends they are not real impressed with it (Pro Res). Curious on what you do not like.

****Umm one bad thing. When shooting once I bumped into someone and the part that attaches the lens hood to the camera broke so there is no lens hood. I still have the lens hood but it does not attach the little clips are broken. I can send it along with everything, I am to lazy and not crafty enough to fix it.

This camera is in excellent condition, very low hours! Hate to see her go.. But.... Gotta do what i gotta do, right? I cleaned the heads after every hour of use, so no worry about artifacts and what not. Very, very well taken care of... Can't stress that enough.

Pictures (Only thing that I can think of that isn't pictures is the remote and the battery charger..)
