I have been transferring clips from the Z7 MRU and it works great. Once you get the Sony plug in. You go to Log and Transfer and the clips download beautifully. I still use tape backup for my archives.

Tim Severson November 10th, 2008 02:33 PM

please disregard this listing, I've corrected the necessary information and will relist this item...in case of any confusion, this camera comes with the Canon 14x manual lens, not the 16x manual lens...please see the new listing for explanation...sorry for the mixup

Tim Severson November 10th, 2008 02:35 PM

Canon Xl1 with 14x Manual lens, and Petrol case - $1700

I've relisted this because I realized I'd incorrectly stated that the camera was being sold with the Canon 16x manual lens...it is in fact being sold with the 14x manual lens, not the 16x...I owned both and simply forgot that I'd already sold the 16x, which is why I'm also selling another Canon XL1 body only in addition to this setup...very sorry for the mixup, very embarrassing...I have pics if anyone would like to see them, just give me an email address and I'll send them over...below is my original listing

used in nice condition, we've updated our equipment and this guy is no longer necessary...beautiful 14x manual lens, one regular battery/one extended battery, charger, Beachtek XLR adapter, and owners manual..the case is actually for the XLH1 and is brand new/never used, but its an extra one I don't need, so I'm happy to include it...this camera's served us admirably, and honestly, I'm a little sad to see it go...I also have another Xl1 body only that I will include for a total of $2000 if anyone is interested...please write with any questions, I'm happy to answer to the best of my knowledge...tim

Anyone have an old D8 or miniDV laying around?

I am doing a volunteer project with a local elementary school and the kids are making a documentary of their school since the building turns 20 years old this year. The school has a few miniDV video cams but they are base level consumer models. For the project we need a miniDV or D8 cam with at least a mic input and if possible a headphone jack. It doesn't have to be a 3 chipper but of course that would be even better. A consumer model with mic jack will do the job. I remember my old Sony D8 cams had a mic jack.

I would donate/loan one to the school but I sold most of my cams to pay for my HDV upgrade. The one GL2 I had left I donated to our church for our new video setup and it wouldn't be nice to take it back from them.

If someone has an old miniDV or D8 cam laying around the school here would be interested. If you can donate it we will get a donation receipt to you for your taxes. If you can't donate it but can sell it for a really good price we may be able to work that out too. The school person I am working with said the parents group has some fundraisers coming up so there may be some money but with budgets as they are, every penny they can save helps.

If you can help us with a donation or a cheap sale let me know. I will pay whatever shipping there may be. Anybody got an old cam collecting dust on the shelf?

Thanks....and the kids will thank you too.

Sony HVR-Z1U

Getting a feeler for selling a Sony Z1U. Kit includes:

-Tiffen clear/UV filter
-2 Sony Np930 Lithium bats
-Quick charger for batts
-Mack 4 year warranty: Good till 06/2010

CONDITION: the camera works GREAT. The only flaw that there is with this camera is the viewfinder(eyepiece) broke during travel (in a pelican case no less!) but we have snapped it back on (with duct tape), and its secured on and functions as it did on day 1 but just thought I would let you know that this was the only flaw.

RECORDED:

DRUM: 14x10H
TAPE RUN: 10x10H
OPERATION: 18x10H
THREADING: 35x10H

Selling this kit as i'm moving to a p2HD workflow!

Please offer me a reasonable price for the kit mentioned here or email me at loimey@yahoo.com

Tom Robertson November 11th, 2008 12:08 PM

Will include the shipping/insurance for $275.00 shipped for anyone that's interested. Will include 2 Sony batteries and 2 Memory Sticks.

2 Sony HC1 Cameras

I've used them for weddings and they do have some hours on them (please don't ask because I have no idea). I think I bought them in early 2006, but I can dig in receipts and see. They work fine, no dead/stuck pixels and have recently been used as capture decks and taken great care of... I want to start shooting 24f and they won't do Canon's 24f so I'll need to replace them with the HV30's.

Each has a cool little lens hood (not the rubber crap, but a hard plastic one) an IAS Shoe adapter to allow standard shoe accessories to be used and each has a standard and the largest battery (Sony Infolithium) that will shoot almost all day and a tripod stand off adapter that allows you to change tapes while mounted on a tripod (except a bogen 501 head).

These cams do great in good light and can be adjusted to use in dimmer situations, but not that good in LOW light. Make great balcony cams, floor cams, plant/bush cams, hidden cams (not on a person though), etc....

Would love to find these a good home to the community here rather than sock them on fleabay.

Don't know what to charge for them, but make me a good offer and we'll talk. Quick search on ebay had them anywhere from $600-$1100 each........ so make me an offer for both.

Later!

Paul Leung November 11th, 2008 06:25 PM
