O'Connor Ultimate DV head

...not that I think that many would want to part with such gear, but I am definitely looking if anyone is selling.

I might consider the 515 if the price is right, though the Ultimate is much preferred b/c of the mini-euro QR top among other things.

Red Rock MicroX M2 Bundle ++++

I just purchased a Red Rock MicroX M2 Bundle, with Follow Focus and hard case and used on one shoot with my HVX-200. I then decided to buy the Canon 5DMII so I dont plan on using the M2 with my HVX-200 anymore - so its all for sale.

Its the brand new M2 package RedRock Micro sells:

M2 microX Bundle - Universal SD/HD

A complete bundle to set your camera up with the M2 cinema lens adapter and be able to attach 35mm lenses.

This bundle includes the microX flip accessory and a universal achromat that works with both standard definition (SD) DV cameras as well as high definition (HD) cameras.

Also included in this bundle is:

microRodSupport system
18" stainless steel rods
35mm still lens mount
shim kit
82-55mm step-down ring
72-55mm step-down ring
microX riser block
alternate riser block

Please note we do not currently recommend the microX for Sony HDV cameras with filter sizes of 72mm or larger. This currently includes the Sony Z1, Z7, FX1, and EX1 cameras. Sony cameras with smaller than 72mm filter rings (such as the Sony V1 and A1) do work with the microX."

Mine has the Nikon lens mount and is setup perfect with shims for the HVX200.

I also have the hard case they sell to hold it all. I am also selling the Follow Focus which comes with 4 lens rings. And I am throwing in a Nikon 50mm 1.4 lens to use with setup.

To buy all of this you would pay at least $3000.

I will send pictures to anyone interested. Send your best offer / no trades.

JVC 5100 Pro 3CCD Camcorder

Asking $2000.00 O/B/O

Hi, I am in Chicago and have this camcorder for sale. I bought it from an
encyclopedia company that discovered it was too advanced for their
projects.

Well, it is also too advanced for mine. I shot about an hour on it
at a seminar. I used auto mode as there are so many controls
on this camcorder. THE FOOTAGE LOOKED GREAT.

I dont know how to check thehours, etc. but if you tell me how
I can do it so you can have accurate info. I can send photos when you
email me as there is no upload function here.

I am willing to consider your offers.

Please email me. Thanks.

make an offer

Bump.

If you think my price is too high, please feel free to make an offer. Thanks!

Don Bloom December 6th, 2008 10:27 AM

Kim, you might want to specify what lens is on the camera (could be a Canon 16X or 19X or a Fuji 17X) what battery mount is on the camera (V mount or Anton Bauer) and which viewfinder although IIRC when JVC came out with the 5100 they put the 116 viewfinder on the camera. (The 115 sucked) Also if there are any accessories such as batteries, charger, filters, bag or hard case etc.

Also IIRC from my 5000 to check the hours (operation and drum run anyway) go into the main menu, and somewhere on that page there will be an item about camera operation page to that and the hours should be there. It's either 2 or 3 pages deep.
Sorry I can't be more specific but it's been a few years since I had my JVC5000 so I don't remember exactly.
The 5100 is a great camera.

More info

Hi Don,
thanks for the info!

I think the lens is the Fuji 17X
there is no battery, just the cord for electricity
comes with three filters
a hard pelican case
viewfinder - vf p115vu

I just know its in mint condition and I dont know how to use it :(

In your opinion, is 2000.00 a good asking price for this camcorder as long as the drum numbers are low?

I dont want to ask for too much, or too little. Thanks again ...

Kim Swift December 6th, 2008 02:33 PM

?

Don,
what would you use the 5100 for? is it good for weddings, parties, and seminars?

Paul Leung December 6th, 2008 03:33 PM

New lower price CAD$3000.

Don Bloom December 6th, 2008 03:37 PM

honestly if I was looking for another SD camera I'd buy it (depending on the hours of course). I think 2k is fair for the camera.

As for use,
I used my 5000 for pretty much everything. I shot weddings, seminars, sports and news with it. The only problem I had was getting it to match up well with my Sonys but that wasn't all that big a deal for me. As much as Iloved my 5000 the 5100 is better. They added a 2nd XLR on the back of the camera, the 5000 only had 1 front and 1 back :-(, and they redid the DSP (firmware) on the 5100 and it produced a nicer image thean the 5000.

I'd say the camera can be used for just about anything.

NNOVIA QC A2D 80GB MediaPac V-Lock mount Trade or Sale

I just purchased this set but I am in need of the old style NNovia QC A2D decks for a specific project. The unit was sent to NNovia by the previous owner for the once over and upgrades, it came in boxes from Nnovia labeled refurb.

You get

nNovia QuickCapture A2D
MediaPac 80 GB
V-Lock Mount Kit which accepts V-lock type battery
User Manual
AC Adapter
Analog breakout cable

I'm looking for someone who would like to upgrade from the old model to this system, I'll accept any storage size and I have no need for accessories, all I need is the deck, analog breakout cable and AC power supply. Of course the value of the kit I have is higher than the old unit so we would have to nagotiate cash in addition to the old unit. I would also require the old unit to be sent to nnovia for a once over and firmware upgrade, they charge $40 for the firmware upgrade. If you have 2 old decks even better!

Current price for this setup new is over $2000, make me an offer if you have nothing to trade.

I'm located in southern California but will ship world wide. Prefer paypal for payment. Please contact me if you have any questions or are close and want to see the unit.

Thanks,

~PH

Hello Kim,

Why don't you take the time learning to use it? Take the user manual, put the camera on a tripod and connect it to a monitor. Read through the manual step by step and just try things. If you do something wrong, you can always reset the camera to it's factory settings. If you have further questions you always can get help here on the forum.

I never owned one of these camcorders (I did choose for a Sony DSR-300), but I know it's a very good SD camera. Their is not a single consumer camera that can produce pictures equal to your 5100. You say it yourself; the footage looked great. And I bet it even is going to look better when you operate it in full manual mode. If you don't need HD at this moment I wouldn't let it go. But that are of course my thoughts.

Here is how to check the drum hours. It's from the instruction manual.

http://books.jvcservice.com/Download...230-001A-H.pdf

1. Set the POWER switch to ON.
2. Press the STATUS button for 1 second or longer to display
the TOP MENU screen.
3. Rotate the SHUTTER dial to select the OTHERS item, and
then press the SHUTTER dial.
● The OTHERS (1/2) menu screen appears.
4. Select the NEXT PAGE item on the OTHERS (2/2) menu
screen, and then press the SHUTTER dial.
● The OTHERS (2/2) menu screen appears.
■The accumulated drum running time is shown next to the
DRUM HOUR item on the OTHERS (2/2) menu screen.
5. To return to the normal screen, use either of the following
methods.
● Press the STATUS button
or
● Return to the TOP MENU screen and then select the EXIT
item from the TOP MENU screen before pressing the
SHUTTER dial.

And here is an 8 minute indroduction movie of the JVC-DY5100.

http://pro.jvc.com/pro/attributes/PR...d/gydv5100.mov

And some more movies.

Good luck with learning or selling it! Keep us posted.

Chuck Fadely December 7th, 2008 11:56 AM

Kim, check your email...

With no battery, you're looking at another $1000-$1500 to make this useable. More, if you don't have a tripod plate.

In an earlier post you said it had a 14x lens from a dv500 - is this the same one?

Don Bloom December 7th, 2008 09:44 PM

If memory serves correctly the 5100 was not offered with the 14x-started with a Canon 16-the 5000 was offered with the 14.

As for 16:9 image yeah sort of. Not a true 16:9. I wish it did but alas, it didn't.

Depending on the hours 2k ain't a bad price for a 1/2 chip porfessional camera with a 17 lens regardless of tripod plate or batteries. IMO most anyone looking at a camera like that probably already has a tripod plate and power. If not the plate can be had fromm our favorite auction place on the web for a decent price and the power, well depends on what you want. ABs, IDX, Swit-prices can run the gamut.

Just my thoughts.
