I found an old wallet of mine with 60 dollars in it that I could put towards this. How does $525 sound?

John C. Butler April 4th, 2008 08:04 PM

Just how faulty is this hv20 of yours?

Paul Cascio April 4th, 2008 08:15 PM

I love this thread. It's so real.

WTB in U.S.: Jvc Gy-hd100

Hey everyone, I have tried to purchase a JVC GY-HD100U. All of the cameras that I have tried to get I have either been burned on, or outbid. If anyone is wanting to sell a used JVC GY-HD100U, Please message me.

Chris Hurd April 4th, 2008 09:16 PM

Thread moved from Open DV to Private Classifieds.

Title changed from "Searching for Camera." Please avoid ambiguous thread titles.

See http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthrea...ighlight=hd100

These come up for sale all the time, just search this forum.

Alan Ortiz April 4th, 2008 10:05 PM

Hey Derek,

I have a JVC-HD100U(A) for $3000 shipped. No cosmetic issues other than a loose "foot" extension on the bottom which looks like its easy to replace (its screwed into the base at the tripod mount- everything else is in order) and low drum hours. I cant say for sure right now because im away but it should be about 55 drum hours.

Comes with the IDX dual charger, and two batteries- 1 E7s and 1 E10s, as well as the mount for the batts, and an anton bauer power tap to hook up accessories like a firestore or lights, etc. I took care of it like i was going to sell it because...well when i bought it I knew that i might need to so its been well taken care of. I've recently upgraded the firmware to its latest version. All of the original packaging and documentation is included. Let me know if you are interested!

Last call guys, either someone has a Letus to sell me in the next 2 days or I'm ordering one, waiting, and hoping it gets here by Early May.

With the extra time to think about my purchase, I'm now leaning toward getting an Extreme. Anyone selling an Extreme?

Free ads, Silly answers

Hi David,
I received plenty of such idiotic replies whilst trying to sell my PD170NTSC. First on ebay, a bidder in Nigeria never paid up. Then as i had ads posted on Craigs list, Gumtree... all sorts of chaps started coming forward most dubiously from Africa. One chap wanted to offer me a similar amount for his wife who was no a band tour of Nigeria. He also wanted it posted by USPS when the item was clearly stated as located in China. I then had others offering me amounts and only willing to pay by western union

On the buying front, the situation is even more frustrating. After advertising for a wanted camera on free ad boards etc... people would email me simple one word answers like "I still have one if you want it...?" several days after the posting 'Want what exactly?' Others would offer their cameras, even send reasonable photos and then not answre any further questions such as "what is the history of the camera?" and "what are the hours of use" etc...

This long sordid drawn out episode has meant that I'd rather use either ebay, a trusted community board (such as this one) or a shop listing in Europe to buy instead of hoping that someone will answer a legitimate ad on the internet with a legitimate reply.

Stephen

Not sure if it helps... but this chap below had a DVX100E for sale for 975 GBP.
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Filmmaking-Equipment-Supplier.

You'd had to email him to ask if it's still available.

Anthony Tham April 5th, 2008 04:56 AM

Michael Galvan April 5th, 2008 06:28 AM

Damian Clarke April 5th, 2008 06:47 AM

These are surprisingly still available at this price. Anyone...? Hello?(echoes eerily...)

Tony Sellars April 5th, 2008 09:14 AM

No Ken, that won't work. I'm wanting to use a flat bar that I can mount three mic receivers on top of my XL1s.

Allen Plowman April 5th, 2008 09:47 AM

I have also looked for cold shoe mounts for previous projects, the cheapest I had found was about 8 dollars each plus shipping.I would be interested in a supplier of 2 dollar ones.

Steve Rosen April 5th, 2008 11:05 AM

XL H1 still for sale

I've stripped the matte box and plate from the camera, and am offering it for $5,000 with the lens focus gear and two new small batteries.

This camera is is excellent condidition, with approximately 70 hours of use. It was used to shoot one 30 minute documentary (which was broadcast nationally on PBS thru APT) and has been lying dormant since last June when I purchased an HPX500 for my current film.

It has NEVER been used as a deck!!!

FYI: I am a professional filmmaker/cinematographer with 40 years of experience and take VERY good care of my tools.

Amit Sitapara April 5th, 2008 02:19 PM

These are for sale again, to order one you can send paypal payment of $35 to amitsitapara@gmail.com. I have sold many of these to dvinfo.net members and even more to members of skateperception.com (messageboard of people who shoot skateboarding). 100% customer satisfaction and I will make sure it stays that way. My paypal feedback is 39, also with no problems ever.

If you would like to pay by other means or just have questions, feel free to contact me at that same address.

I get a lot of questions asking but...currently these are only for the sony vx2100/pd170 (and vx2000/pd150 of course). I don't have any for the Canon GL/XM's. Sorry.

Once again, these are hand made by me and my father, no one else in the world does anything like this.

WANTED WTB JVC HD7 SOFTWARE DISC, component CABLE and SHOULDER STRAP.

Just bought a second hand JV7 and its got some stuff missing I'd like to replace. Chief among the missing items is the software disc. Anyone willing to sell me a copy, original preferred but a copy will do.

Also missing is the JVC shoulder strap, not something I particularly need but I could see it being handy.

Also the component JVC cable.

I am in the UK. Can pay by paypal.

Derek Morrison April 5th, 2008 05:30 PM

I have been burned twice now so I would ask that if you could send me a photo with the camera and the date on a newspaper. I'm sure that you are a trustworthy person, but I'm just being cautious. Also wondering if the price is negotiable at all as my father would pick up the camera.

Ray Sigmond April 5th, 2008 07:40 PM

How did you get burned? Did the sellers back out or try to sell you grey market stuff? My email address is alan@cinematicdream.com. You can also see footage shot with the cam at the website- www.cinematicdream.com, just wait for the video to load. There are some DVX100B shots sprinkled in between the HD100 stuff. Shoot me an email and ill send you some pics that I have on my computer here. Im in officer training at Ft. Benning right now but it shouldn't be hard to have someone ship everything to me if your dad wants to pick up the camera in person. I want to try to sell for around the price posted because any lower and it might just be cheaper to keep it for now and get more work with it when i get back in the fall, but we can certainly talk about it.

-Alan

Rafael Lopes April 6th, 2008 02:08 AM

If the price is right I'd also be interested in other wide angle zooms like a 10-20mm, a 12-24mm and so on.

David Carter April 6th, 2008 05:31 AM

Managed to get the shoulder strap!

Still after the component cable for JVC - whatever that is?

Hoping to get disc sent from JVC but if anyone has one spare please post!

Fujinon 13x3.5mm HD lens for sale (JVC 1/3")

Fujinon 13x3.5mm HD lens for JVC 1/3" bayonet mount (may also fit some sony cameras) This one comes with the box, lens caps, hood, and manual.

If you know about this lens than you know its the one to have for the jvc system!

Almost new, in flawless condition...Used for 2 projects for about 70hours total. I am only selling it because it takes up just a little too much room in my bag I'm taking with me to shoot a doc in Africa. (I know I can get a larger bag, or I could bring 2 bags, but its just not practical for this trip)

Best offer takes it! (Or I will just keep it)

Thanks,

Hunter

Stefen,

Just give them a price!

Amit Sitapara April 6th, 2008 06:54 PM

Just a heads up, asking for paypal fees is wayyyyyy against terms of policy. People have been getting slammed with HUGE fines for doing what you are.

Just lookin out.

Yes i'm sorry i should have been more specific. I have been burned twice on other sites besides this one

Robert Acosta April 6th, 2008 08:07 PM

Amit, I've seen this type of request over and over again on other forums as well... particularly in their classified sections. Could you explain this a little more...so I or others can possibly avoid doing the same thing?

Marty Hudzik April 6th, 2008 09:27 PM

Buying and selling on this site is almost like buying from family. I know it sounds funny but I am actually being sincere. I pretty much never even think twice about dealing with people here.

Jamie Baughman April 6th, 2008 10:21 PM

Thanks Amit, I've never heard that and I'd be interested to hear what our forum bosses have to say about the fact that people ask for the fee to be covered all the time. It could be no one knows that it's against the paypal terms of service.

I did a little snooping on my own and you are in fact correct.

Good thing I posted just before your last one stating that I'd cover the paypal fee. This is from Paypal's user agreement.

4.6 No Surcharges. You agree that you will not impose a surcharge or any other fee for accepting PayPal as a payment method. You may charge a handling fee in connection with the sale of goods or services, as long as the handling fee does not operate as a surcharge and is not higher than the handling fee you charge for non-PayPal transactions.
