IR Remote Mod
For those interested in having greater use of their IR Remotes, here's what I made up for IR Remotes using FiberOptic cable. This can be done for any Cam with an IR Remote. I use them on my 4 Sony Cams too.
This is one for my new Canon HV20. Harold |

looks interesting - I've been thinking about this for my A1 on my DIY crane.
Can you give me some details on the parts you used and how it all fits together and works, I'm assuming from the pics that you don't wreck the remote |

Hi Paul,
All the Mods I do are reversible to OEM, with zero to minimum change/damage to the original equipment. I use FiberOptic cable (up to 20'), TOS Link connectors, TOS Link Right Angle connectors, plastic from VHS hard shell casses, Super glue, Shoe Goo, Velcro, and a small metal part. It will work for your Cam, giving you all the control your IR Remote can do. Check my other posts for other Pics of this Mod I did on my other Sony Cams. If more details wanted, PM me. Harold |

Great mod, Harold. I'm looking TOSlink adapters that match your picture. Is this the right one?
