C100 mk1 reseting itself

I posted about this problem a few years back. Now its happening with 2 of my 3 c100s. I am hoping maybe someone else has had this issue and managed to resolve it.

The internal battery seems to...

Re: XAVC-S and CS6

Thanks for the replies. When i google this i keep seeing results for "Brosoft Video Convertor" which can convert XAVC-S to MPEG-2. Is that a good option? Will i lose quality? Thanks.

How does the GH5 low light compared with the C100 mk1

I own a c100 and am very interested in the GH5 for 4k ability. I'm wondering to what degree the GH5 will struggle in low light situations compared to the c100.

I know the Sony's will be better...

Re: C100 mk3 and the 6D mk2

I'm sure i paid 4000 GBP for my C100 when it was new (I could be mistaken though) The C200 is listed fort 7700 GBP.

Sure,150MB 4k is great but i dont want to pay for a feature (raw) i wouldnt...

Re: C100 mk3 and the 6D mk2

As a wedding shooter I use 3 C100 mk1s. The C200 is double the price of a C100 when it first was released. For anyone who does multi-cam shoots, that's expensive. Secondly, an event shooter...

Re: C100 mk3 and the 6D mk2

Sure, but they made it for a completely different type of shooter. Now the event shooter is left with the 5Dmk4 if they want to go 4k?

I thought Canon made the C100 specifically for event...

Re: C100 mk3 and the 6D mk2

I just don't understand how Canon could simply abandon a market so popular as the C100. If they just added 4k 100mbs to the mk1 and nothing else, I'd be (reasonably) happy.

C100 mk3 and the 6D mk2

I am wondering what Canon have in mind for event shooters who want to go to 4k.

Like a lot of people I was expecting the C200 announcement to be a 4k C100 mk3, not a new type of camera with a new...

Re: Sony A7s ii

I was pondering this camera as a replacement for my C100s when 4k becomes a must to stay current in the wedding business. They may of course be something better by then but my concerns are:

I tried posting this on DVX User but no-one offered any ideas so I am trying here.

Lens cap PITA

Working with my team of four, swapping lenses between us inevitably results in lens caps being lost, mislaid etc and there is always a hunt on at the end of a shoot making sure each lens is packed...

Once back from a shoot I used Shotput Pro to copy it to my main project drive and...

I thought about this market too but decided that giving the client cameras was a too risky and expensive plus as a previous poster said, if the footage all turns out to be crap then they will blame...

Re: Guard SD cards with your life!

Two 64GB cards in the C100 is enough to record a whole wedding and more. If one card fails \ is lost you have an instant backup. At the end of the shoot one card comes out and straight into a...

Re: Drones at weddings.

So unrealistic in practical terms it's a joke. If I was that bothered I'd consider it an insult to my intelligence and common sense.

Re: How do you politely tell customers 'no preview copy'

I agree that the first time your client views their film it should be hopefully a Blu-ray copy on a decent full HD TV. The first time they see it is when their emotional response to it will be at...

Re: CF card failure?

Using dual-record on the C100 (or any other dual-record camera) is a joy.

I wasn't worried so much about faulty cards on my single slot HMC150 (never had a card fail in the field). It was...

Re: Those of you with a "highlight only" or "short film only" business model...

I offer both in one package; a 5 minute 'trailer' then the making of, full ceremony and one hour edit of the reception. Most clients see it as the best of both worlds.

Re: Booking Date conundrum...

I always make it clear to clients that their date isn't reserved until I receive the payment. Also I request they notify me when they have made the deposit.
