Re: Camcorder 16-235

If you are so sure about your own findings then do like Rainer suggested and get a camera where you can set the scale to 16-235 and then prove he is wrong.

Not sure how anyone can take you seriously...you might...

Re: Camcorder 16-235

You maybe could rent a gh5 or gh6 to see if your test to evaluate the luminance levels is correct?

Re: Camcorder 16-235

There are still very cheap second hand gh5's with a stock zoomlens available (at least where I live) but not sure if a photocamera works for you to do video, the handicams you mentioned are much...

Re: Camcorder 16-235

Lol, the only thing you did was to ridicule him with providing a link to the cheapest camera you could find on B&H based on his only requirement, even after he told you he had a sony ax53 and a canon...

Re: Camcorder 16-235

If the output levels are always levels are 16-235 (in 8-bit) then why suggest these cheap camera's since the OP his current canon and sony camera's already output these levels, it only means the way...

Re: Camcorder 16-235

All my Panasonic "photo" camera's (gh and s series) have the option to select 3 different luminance levels for 8 or 10 bit recording but as far as I know no handicam with a fixed lens under 2K exist...

Re: GH6: AF doesn't work. help! URGENT!

I have never used autofocus on my m4/3 camera's but you also have that switch on the backside of the camera next to the viewfinder that has "mf", afc" and afs/aff" as option, mine is always set to...

Re: LANC controller to zoom slow?

The ax100 does have one ring which is focus/zoom assignable but it's not possible to get smooth zooms out of it, you see it "stepping" when you very slowly turn the zoomring. I guess a controller...

Re: LANC controller to zoom slow?

Try the Sony vct vpr1, it comes with a cheap tripod but you can detach the controller. The remote control is capable of very slow and controlled variable zoomspeeds, you can see it in action in below...

Re: my Panasonic HC-X1500

In a forum people have the option to react, even if you didn't ask for it, and as long as it's done in a respectful way then it is your right to either learn from or ignore it. If you however post...

Re: my Panasonic HC-X1500

Again, I was just trying to help you out by showing that video and link as I was under the impression that you did not understand the numbers on the card based on your comments. Those Sandisk cards...

Re: my Panasonic HC-X1500

Re: my Panasonic HC-X1500

I never suggested you had to buy those expensive 300MB/s cards, I actually told you your current cards are just fine and they are cheap as chips.

Re: my Panasonic HC-X1500

I always bring a small travel tripod with me on holiday, but ofcourse that won't help much if you zoom in a lot as they don't allow smooth pan or tilt and your shots will still look shaky on a windy...

Re: my Panasonic HC-X1500

A tripod can do wonders ;) I have a 43 inch 4K editing screen and while watching your video in 4K I noticed the image was a bit noisy and not that sharp, as if a digital zoom was used. You are...

Re: my Panasonic HC-X1500

SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB SDXC UHS-II which has a max readspeed of 300MB/s and max writespeed of 260MB/s is a faster card but your camera doesn't require that to record it highest bitrate codec. Here...

Re: my Panasonic HC-X1500

The highest bitrate your camera is capable of is 200Mbps and your current cards can handle that, anything higher and I would be looking at faster cards. I also use the same cards as you have and only...

Re: my Panasonic HC-X1500

That's the read speed, not the write speed which is only 95mb/s, the "170mb/s" cards from Sandisk have now been replaced by 200mb/s which only means faster transfer speed to your pc.

Re: experimenting with editing
