Do you have Canons EOS movie plug-in for FCP installed? Otherwise, you will not be able to log and transfer H.264 7D files.
However I suggest my workflow which is to convert the 7D files to ProRes...

But you dont need to import them into FCP, where H264 will play horribly anyway - just click on the them and view them in QT...

I have to check on my version, but using Streamclip you cannot set field dominance to 'none' - the only choice is upper or lower...
