Re: A light but effective steadycam for GH5?

What Dean said. A gimbal can be a great for mimicking different tools as you can do slider, crane movements as well beside the obvious walking moves but also just hold it still and it will look the...

Re: Gimbal for GH5: FEIYU A2000 or Feiyu A2000?

Both the FEIYU A2000 and the Feiyu A2000 are equally good but that is because they are exactly the same :)

The leica 12-60 has a "power ois" switch on the side, are you sure that is set to "on"?

Re: A light but effective steadycam for GH5?

You need to consider the min payload of the gimbal, too light and small gimbals will not be able to support the wheight of the gh5.
It is easy to use and fast to balance.

Re: Church music license, UK

Luckily in my country I never had to deal with these kind of restrictions

I also am seeing a large shift from church weddings to ceremonies in the venue, when I started filming 13 years ago all...

Re: Variable ND Filter Quality? Need help to decide.

I hate to say it but you just proved my point, I only looked at 3 and 4, you turned the sky in .3 into cyan and you blew the highlights but if you are happy with that then who am I to tell you any...

Re: Variable ND Filter Quality? Need help to decide.

I never shoot in log profiles, I agree with Keith if you don't have enough experience shooting and editing in log it's best to stay clear from it, the standard or natural profile are just fine for...

Re: Variable ND Filter Quality? Need help to decide.

Normally pcc in edius doesn't do anything if you just add it to a clip but what I think happened is that edius recognised the colorspace and added it's own correct lut or it changed the source...

Re: Gear recommendation for press announcement?

Or if you need wireless then maybe a Sennheiser ME 2 and connect that to your camera with a senheisser avx transmitter.

Re: Gear recommendation for press announcement?

Unfortunately, no, I have a c24 as well and regret not to have both 2 extra recorders when they where still available.
Concerning the announcement that needs to be recorded, how close can you get to...

Re: Anyone using a curved 34" or larger 21:9 monitor?

My son in law has a big curved monitor but he is a hardcore gamer so I think those screens are very popular amongst the gaming community?

I use a 43 inch LG 4K Monitor (43UD79) and I had a 29 inch...

Re: JVC GY-HM180 Ultra HD 4K Camcorder - Any Update on the LCD

JVC doesn't attract the same amount of attention Sony, Canon and Pansonic does when it comes to video capable camera's so probably not that many people buy one. I"m not sure if the HM180 screen is of...

Re: 100 ASA or 400 ASA in sunny days - video?

I don't do anything in post anymore, for me my incamera settings is how I want it to look, the only adjustments I make are more to match clips up, maybe one camera was a bit darker then the other (as...

Re: 100 ASA or 400 ASA in sunny days - video?

I was always told that the shutter should always be double the framerate, so 25p should have a 1/50th shutter and 50p a 1/100th of a shutter if you want to retain a normal motion blur. If you want to...

Re: 100 ASA or 400 ASA in sunny days - video?

400 iso on the gh5 should give you the cleanest image with the most dynamic range but I doubt if you are able to see a difference from a normal viewing distance to a screen if you shoot at a lower...

Re: GH5 for fun project.

I want those insect/animal shots as screensavers! Those insect and flower shots looked amazing, they look like discovery channel material. Can I ask what lens you used for those shots?

Re: 100 ASA or 400 ASA in sunny days - video?

I don't think this is the answer Adriano was waiting for, even if it was very informative for those who are into these kind of technicalities.

Adriano; when you shoot outside with a low...

Re: 1" chip vs 3 x 1/3" chips

I use the ax100 for wedding ceremonies as a safety wide set in the back, often in darker rooms, usually I have to zoom in to get the best frame meaning the iris will close down a bit. Considering the...

Re: A7iii and SmallRig Cage CAUTION!

Re: GH5(s) autoexposure

Did some more testing and it looks variable, at least I don't see any sudden jumps and exposure changes are smooth. I feel a bit more confident to try it at a wedding.
