Re: Decent wide lens for use with a follow focus? 20mm 1.7 won't fit.

Yeah, very good points. I'll keep that in mind. You know, I'm surprised the price of the sigma 20mm 1.8 is still as much as it is with the lumix 1.7 around. I'm thinking I should try and keep some...

Re: Decent wide lens for use with a follow focus? 20mm 1.7 won't fit.

Jeff, the requirement for the follow focus is basically just a lens that is at least double the length of the lumix pancake and i'd like to see a body size of like 62-78 mm.

Yeah, I was looking at...

Decent wide lens for use with a follow focus? 20mm 1.7 won't fit.

Looks like my lovely pancake is actually TOO small to work with my follow focus setup, so I'm wondering if there is something a little longer/larger out there. I've been suggested the Sigma 20mm F1.8...

Re: Better lav than the Olympus ME-15? Or better recorder? Help! lol

Yeah, I was worried about how effective it is at mounting through the thicker fabrics, I figure I'll give it a test on some jackets at home and if I don't feel confident just return it for the...

Re: Small Inline Mic Preamp Solutions?

My statement of "like six volts" was just to get the point across that the b3 needs more than the little voltage provided by the h1, etc, without going into specifics. Just being general here. Yeah...

Re: Small Inline Mic Preamp Solutions?

Haha, I figured the H1 was small enough. Also countryman b3 omni specs suggest 3 to 12V @ 200mA . I read the h1 is putting out about 1.5 volts or so.

ALSO i keep hearing of hiss/noise issues with...

Re: Better lav than the Olympus ME-15? Or better recorder? Help! lol

Eh I just felt good about the H1 since I have an h4n. Pittsburgh, you?

I'm prob going to go with the DR-08 because of the smaller form factor and also the new rode pin lav and see how they fair.

Small Inline Mic Preamp Solutions?

So, I decided this deserved its own thread. I'm trying to come up with a method for powering a better lav such as a countryman b3 when used with a Zoom h1 in the pocket of lets say, the groom. With...

Re: Better lav than the Olympus ME-15? Or better recorder? Help! lol

well yeah, i want it to be better. so im running into an issue, that the B3 may need powered as the H1 i dont believe puts out enough voltage. so that just complicated matters significantly

Better lav than the Olympus ME-15? Or better recorder? Help! lol

So I was wanting to not only bump up the audio of the bride/groom for the vows, but I also want to increase the quality of it. Currently I have a Olympus ME-15 and a Olympus VN-6200PC.

My...

Any suggestions? ...
