Re: DSLR Shooters.... ND Filters....what level and when are you using them?

Many don't stray from their...

Re: C100 dual slot recording, anyone have issues?

I had a card crap out on me yesterday. Turned off, removed on, shake it, whisper a little prayer. Nothing, just said to check card.

Put it in the computer and it reads fine. Put it back in today...

Re: DSLR Shooters.... ND Filters....what level and when are you using them?

We used Vari ND's but for the same reasons as Steve we stopped using them and just went with high shutter speeds. They were a ball ache to attach and remove, they softened the image beyond acceptable...

Re: C100 dual slot recording, anyone have issues?

Sorry to resurrect a dead thread. Has anyone found a solution to this or figured out when and why it happens?

We've been having the same issue with our Kingston Ultimate cards (90mbs read, 45mbs...

Re: How long do you hold a date open?

We now have a bit on our email that says the date is free that we don't hold dates without a deposit and it's a strict first come first served.

We did this after having a patch where people would...

Re: Using the 70-200 F2.8 Mk ii with the C100 for weddings?

We love ours so much we have 2.

Are you shooting things with just the one camera or multiple? If your on your own then you generally go for a more versatile lens but if you shoot multiple like we...

Re: Generic or personalised designs?

We went down the generic route as it saved time and meant we can do our boxes. They simply wouldn't be possible if we did custom.

The cost of a custom printed 10p DVD case was £3.50 in ink and...

Re: Generic or personalised designs?

We use standard disks and cases for everyone and customise a template for the DVD menu.
Here is our current disk and packaging and in a couple of months our new custom boxes arrive to hold the...

Re: PLEASE HELP!!! What lens or lenses for wedding videos???

I would also add that even a vest with the Glidecam can be brutal, and I mean BRUTAL!

The problem we had with ours was that without a monitor you find your holding the rig out in front of you....

Re: Delete Last Clip C100

Just tried it and yup, can't if you double dip it. Arse biscuits! Not giving up the double slot record just to delete the last clip, ill let our rough cut editor worry about the junk :)

Normal? Possibly.

We do the short, 3 minute montage of the best bits and thats it. Evening done!

Some like to play it safe and give hours and hours. All depends on what your clients want. Some...

Re: PLEASE HELP!!! What lens or lenses for wedding videos???

Heres our lens bag for the C100. Don't forget, it has a 1.54 crop factor so bear that in mind.

Canon 24-105 f4. The IS is great and the f4 isnt an issue thanks to the C100's near night vision...

Re: What do you use to carry equipment?

@Dave

Dividers. The pluck foam does indeed take up silly amount of space and the padded dividers give just as good protection.

We don't use the top handle at all but it looks like it could fit...

Re: Steadycam setup driving me mad

Make sure the gimble is quote close to the top deck. Having it half way down the post will cause sway. Move the gimble up and then you...

Re: Payments

I should add. I haven't had any problems for years now. Possibly due to the asking for payment 6 weeks vs 2 and also because of the type of people we now get. I think our problems when we were £995. ...

Re: Has anyone pre-ordered a Sony AX100 4k or CX900?

What's your reasoning for going for a consumer camera which will most likely require full auto vs a pro camera? Is it the 4k?

We used to get people saying "we haven't got the money, we've just paid the photographer". So we changed from a 2 week prior payment to 4 weeks. Also Tave sends out the invoice reminders 2 weeks...

Re: Hot swapping lenses?

It seems a few people using a c300 have blown a fuse but I've seem no evidence from c100 users. It's also curious how the 300 has a lens swap button but the camera aimed at fast paced event filmers...
