Re: does anyone use the Sony NEX FS100

One thing I've noticed from watching FS100 samples online is that it's not a great camera for make-up shots - skin tones seem to have this reddish tint & it's too sharp. The DSLR's are crappy cameras...

Re: tight circle on the dance floor

I use a monopod during dances. Mount a camera on monopod, get your exposure right, flip your monitor down towards the floor & extend monopod. Rest the monopod on you leg/belt or get a fishing pole...

Re: The Hobbit shooting in 48p on RED cameras

Personally I'll wait and see for myself before I make any conclusions. I've seen some horrible 24FPS slow motion work in films that makes me wonder how film makers get away passing that crap...

Re: New! Blackmagic 2.5K Raw cinema camera!

It has a professional 12-14V DC input so any Anton Bauer/ V-Mount battery will give you enough juice to run for days. The internal battery is purely for worse case scenarios if you ask me.

Re: SV11, after update, won't open - at all.

Re: Fujinon’s New 19-90 T2.9 Cabrio 35PL Zoom Lens with SERVO.

Re: Migration: Not only for birds. A little help here please

Craig as said you shouldn't have any problems opening 32/64bit projects. Have a look at upgrading your graphics card eventually, Vegas 11 really takes advantage of GPU acceleration. I play native...

Re: Fujinon’s New 19-90 T2.9 Cabrio 35PL Zoom Lens with SERVO.

One day when they figure out a way to produce that lens between 4-7k they'll sell thousands, 38k is just absurd, looking at selling a few hundred at best?

Re: Vegas 11 Quantize to Frames or not

I've always edited my videos with Quantize to Frames turned off to sync them precisely & I've edited hundreds of videos without any issue. Never actually gave it any thought until now.
