I really liked the energy of the video towards the end - from when the burnouts started to the end - it matched the pace...

I could see how option #1 could work - but people are sometimes intimated by lights and cameras etc .... And also getting them to leave the reception area where the party is at could be challenging...

Yep, like John said ... Australia is in PAL-land - hence the 50i.

Dialing the gain down to -3 is more to control the amount of grain. I've found the A1 to be a bit noisier at 0+- than my old XL2.
