My only issue is it's a been sensitive. I can access it with my hand strap hand when I'm supporting the camera with my other hand.

Re: Sony email
This was the free upgrade to firmware 2.0, 4K not included. That's still an extra $500US
EDIT: Just to be clear, the camera is $1999 US as it has been for the last few months. No change in price....

Finally purchased the camera. It came with the free Version 2 firmware installed. The ship date to my dealer looked like the last week of July.

Re: Stuck pixel on PXW-X70 LCD OK with Sony?
What I noted was pixel was growing over time. Whenever camera was turned on there were no stuck pixels. So this wasn't the typical stuck pixel issue.
I called Sony and they said call the dealer I...

Re: Stuck pixel on PXW-X70 LCD OK with Sony?
BTW I'm noticing that this issue develops over time. When I first turn on the camera, the LCD is clean. It takes about 5 minutes before the stuck pixel appears.
I'm concerned because it could well...

Re: Sony X70 4K - Lowest bit rate in the industry!
Jody, Cliff doesn't believe eyeballs. That's why I mention a comparison using MediaInfo. That will provide the "numbers" Cliff loves. My own hunch is there might be things other than the data rate...

Re: What's so special about X-70 XAVC-L UHD codec?
As a compression, it's important to understand that bit rate alone doesn't define the quality of the encode. If Sony is using CABAC entropy in this case whereas others are using CAVALC it would be...

Re: BlackMagic - URSA Mini
I'd shoot ProRes. You can toss a LUT on but don't forget Blackmagic Cameras can shoot Rec 709 rather than flat. 4.6k would have good value for sports as it would give you a big window on a 1080...

Re: BlackMagic - URSA Mini
Personally I think the 4.6k sensor may be better for ENG style Doc work. If you're going to have to go shoulder mount, it'll give you a bit more room to stabilize in post... assuming you want 4k...
