Re: Final Wedding Disc Packaging

We went down the custom route as there just isn't anything to hold our disks. Graphi and the others do some amazing albums for photo albums which also hold a disk but none are willing to make a disk...

Re: What sd card for Catholic Ceremony

A 32gb on a DSLR will hold 90 minutes. You need to find out if they are doing a full mass (1hr 30min) or mini mass (45-1hr).

Re: Help me decide!

Be warned on digital rev. They bring in grey imports like simply electronics do. They often fudge serial numbers to clear customs with less duty to pay. Hence the lower prices.

This has bitten us...

Re: Help me decide!

14mm is crazy wide and has serious edge distortion. Unless you get the canon 14mm rectilinear but then thats one of the most expensive lenses you can get.

I personally like to be able to punch it...

Re: Show us your rig!!!

C100 on a Steadicam with a Sennheiser MKE400 mic. We use the senny as its small and made of metal so pretty solid. Sound is also pretty decent.

Normally we just rock the camera with the mic and...

Re: Video Autofocus full frame?

I had a read of their papers on the AF and it only focuses on whats in the centre of frame and cant be moved. So in the shot you show it would have the officiant in focus but not the couple.

Also...

Re: Best Shutter Speed for 5D Mark 3?

On the dslrs you don't need to stick to multiples. Use whatever you like. You had to do it on the likes of the fx1 or xha1 as it would cause weird strobing but not so.

The only time you may need...

Re: 1 Day Public Liability insurance (UK).

On the subject of Towergate.

We currently use them but recently found out that they will only insure upto £15k of gear in your car. They can do more at home and onsite. This is also a hard limit...

When you stabilize it does the whole clip, even if you've cut it as you have to add it to the media FX.

I found the best way is to right click the clip you want to fix and select "Create sublip"...

Re: Cinevate Duzi slider and a tripod under £500 to go with it?

We like the Velbon DV7000 legs with a manfrotto 501 head.

£100 for the Velbon and £150 for the head. The Velbon does come with a fluid head but it's no good for general usage. However, it makes a...

Re: Do brides want shallow depth of field?

Re: How often should you change your memory cards?

Most come with a lifetime warranty (small print limits this to 35 years for the Kingston cards we use). So the makers think they will last a while.

Every year we run ours through a program called...
