Re: HMC40 Video: Mardron Marsh, Torrance, CA
Nice stuff Bob!
Did you use any ND filters? The reason I'm asking is because I just shot at a state park this past weekend with one of my HMC40's, and had to use a .6 ND filter and shoot at f/11...

Re: Adobe Dynamic Link & Widescreen DVD
The letterboxing appears at the top and bottom of the screen. The black areas are larger on an SD TV than on an HD TV, and the image looks normal either way (not stretched).

Adobe Dynamic Link & Widescreen DVD
Please forgive me if my problem has been solved here somewhere. I've been doing an awful lot of reading, both here and elsewhere, and I still can't figure out where I'm going wrong and why.
Here's...

Re: Serious, MAJOR GH2 Shortcoming
I feel it's tremendously healthy to discuss perceived shortcomings of the equipment we're using, and strategies for getting around them. It's not "complaining," it's discussion.
The fact is that...

Re: Wedding nightmare
I'm really not looking for an argument here, guys. I've shot scores of weddings, and have had much success with one camera -- even though I often shoot with two. I actually enjoy the challenge of...

Re: Wedding nightmare
You're absolutely right -- I was referring to simultaneous cameras. I'm still a "true professional" even if I'm using only one camera for the shoot.

Re: Wedding nightmare
I agree with everything but your first statement about a "true professional" having "at least another camera(s)." Professionalism has nothing to do with how many cameras you use. A "true...

Not confused at all Chris, thanks for taking a look!
I'll try to address everything, because there's actually some method to my madness :)
First of all, about the price structure: I've...

I've made some drastic changes to the pricing page, based on everyone's advice and some more pondering. I think this is the way to do it. Let me know if I'm off track again :)

Very nice Jeremy!
It has a nice Web2.0 feel. I'm a huge fan of minimalism and keeping to the point. And I might add that I was thrilled to see you using jQuery for animation instead of Flash. Well...

Re: Why not give all raw footage?
There is no right or wrong here. I'm not going to feel guilty for selling something of value to a paying customer. If they want to pay me for lots of shots of the floor, and out-of-focus shots, etc.,...

Re: Save or spend? That is the question. :)
It basically boils down to the old adage . . . it's not about the tools, but how you use them. There are spectacular artists out there who could make videos that blow mine out of the water with a VHS...

Re: Save or spend? That is the question. :)
I would fall on the side of saving. It's always a good idea to keep some cash available in case a camera goes down, or some other catastrophe befalls you. Maybe try to work up some goals for this...
