No, just export an 50mbps 422.mxf, or a dnxhd.mov from Vegas then drop it into Handbrake and export a x264 file from there.

Sorry but you dont need Quicktime Pro to render to H.264, see pic from After Effects.
You could render using anything to MP4 and just change the extension to .mov
If you want to use Vegas to do it...

One step forward, I have an old Sony SR8 hard drive camcorder and I just worked out a way to smart render its 720x576 mpeg2 output in Vegas.
Now to get it onto the discs quickly.......

Not sure exactly what you mean, but I'll guess...
To "roll" your cross fade either way, hold control and alt and then drag the end of one of the clips.
This changes the middle of the fade to sooner...

Hey people,
Just wondering if anyone is delivering their Eisteddfod/ events DVDs on the same day?
I guess, one cam shoot, one guy on cam, one on PC. Either capture to PC, or keep changing SD cards....

sorry, wrong privacy setting, my bad.
fixed now.
Its basically rendering very fast and the output file is 0 kilobytes.
Ill try an ac3 from a different encoder.

MXF plays fine with VLC player ( VideoLAN - Download official VLC media player for Windows (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html) )
but not WMP.
