I should point out that uncompressed AVI is NOT the same thing as widescreen DV. DV is actually somewhat compressed. Render a 10 sec clip as both and you will quickly see the difference.

Vegas is especially weak (still) in 3D text manipulation. Overall, it is pretty terrible for anything but the most simple of text effects & movements.
