Re: Lens Adapter List
Come down to Florida, Jeff, it's roasting outside. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on that cheaper adapter from the guy in NJ. From what I read on a forum it should take the new FD lenses no...

Re: So GH2 batteries are cheap now?
Sheesh, I paid $70 after shipping for an extra. At least it's a Panasonic branded one. Still, though, Panasonic really dropped the ball on this system. Cameras sold out, no batteries, small...

Re: No more moire!
Thanks, Les. I use the ultra keyer in Premiere. The screen was a bit wrinkled and unevenly lit, but I only took one color sample and adjusted a few settings. The lights were all fluorescent. His...

btw, Jeff, I had been looking at reviews of the FDn 85mm f/1.8. I take it you have the L series one? What'd you pay for that?

Re: Lens Adapter List
I just found a page where people were raving about the 85mm, so I stand corrected. I have a question about adapters... I found this one: Canon FD FL Lens To Micro M 4/3 G10 GF1 G2 EPL1 Adapter |...

Re: Lens Adapter List
That's not good, I was planning on buying just one to use with more than one lens. I ordered a Canon FD 50mm f/1.4. I'm looking to get the 100mm, as well (the 85 and 135 didn't seem to get as good...

Yes, it's in the raw file as well. I don't generally have talent wear striped patterns, but he came over wearing it so I figured why not leave it on and see what happens. I know all about rescaling...

No more moire!
I did a test shot of a friend in front of my green screen shot at 1080p 24p. Something I found very odd is that the smaller the dimensions of my video player the worse the moire gets from his...

So Jeff do you think I should skimp and get the cheaper adapter? I know the saying is "buy cheap, buy twice", but if the cheaper one does the job I'd like to save a few bucks. At least there's a...

So there's that for $142 with shipping, but in another thread someone said this one worked great: Canon FD lens to Olympus E-P1 E-P2 micro 4/3 Adapter on eBay (end time 13-Apr-11 18:45:45 BST)...

ETC and 720p60 disabled with external monitor :(
So today I put my GH2 on my Jag35 shoulder rig and connected it to my Jag35 monitor. The ETC mode was grayed out in the camera menu, as was the ability to switch to 720p when in Manual Movie Mode. ...

Re: Motion artifacts, help!
Fair enough. It seems to me that the 24p on the GH2 exhibits much less motion blur than on my Canon XHA1, so I've gotten accustomed to just shooting everything in 24p on the GH2. If you're filming...

Re: Motion artifacts, help!
Jeff, what's wrong with shooting a wedding at 24p? Just because you render out to 60i for DVD doesn't mean you have to shoot at 60i, as well. I shot a wedding on a Canon XHA1, and I believe I shot...

Re: Canon 100mm f2.8 FD mount lens
I suppose the ND filter isn't a big deal on the 7-14, but at f/2.5 on the 14mm, I can't justify spending money on it considering the stock 14-42mm is f/3.5 at 14mm.

Re: ¿XH-A1s or HVX200A?
The HVX has tapeless recording, but the cards are expensive. It also has the ability to shoot to tape, but only in SD. That could be bad if you need to give a client raw tapes and they want HD. ...

Re: Canon 100mm f2.8 FD mount lens
Jeff, that 85mm you got doesn't have an aperture ring, does it? I want fully manual 3rd party lenses. As far as native have you considered getting the Lumix 7-14mm for wides? It's a bit slow and...

Re: Motion artifacts, help!
Jeff, recording in 24p (cinema mode) not only gives you a resolution of 1080p, but it records at a higher bit rate than any of the other settings. 720p gives you a lower bit rate and fewer lines of...
