Would HDV split be any different if the cam/s arnt even showing up to Windows though?
Installed 32bit Windows 7 last night and both cams dont show up in that either, sigh of relief...

My old GT240 could do that, 25 fps 6 tracks of Cineform 1080p with no FX at best full, no problems.
It would fall over when adding color...

I know warranty will be sketchy, but it's about $300 less than retail in these parts.

I submitted a ticket for this 3 days ago now and haven't heard a peep. I asked for any hints or tips on what could be going wrong with my system to not allow optimal playback and rendering using GPU....

When you re imported your new clip, did you right click, properties, alpha channel,

From Vegas it will be a pain,
Uncompressed 1080p gives you about 1.93GB per 10 sec.
Quicktime PNG may be a better option at around 145MB per 10 sec, but it renders very slow.

FWIW, Sony AVCHD at 1080i works fine on PS3's and XBox units when burnt to standard DVD.
