Re: Live Event Broadcasting

Hey Chris,

I am surprised to see your using Livestream, only because it is so expensive. I am guessing you must have the "Broadcaster" encoding unit and a basic monthly account? Or do you have...

Hi Lisa,

The following statement is not a criticism at all. In fact I could not answer the question for you. You are the only one that can answer it. And it is said on this board all the time: ...

Re: Live Production/Streaming Challenge

Congratulations Jon! Glad it all went so well. I have always said "money matters", and these days there is less and less of it no matter what kind of gig it is. It was your thought, foresight, and...

Re: Best shooting technique for hand held video

Pete,

Does this system work with your EA50 or just the A7S? With my heavy EA50s I think I may have to go with a spring rod rig?

Re: Best shooting technique for hand held video

Smooth shoulder technique: Last Saturday I was shooting a reception with people dancing and moving a lot. I was shoulder with my EA50. At one point I kind of laughed to myself at a realization I...

Re: Live Production/Streaming Challenge

Wow, this thing really went south. It is to bad you are out of time. There are some good HDMI switchers out there. This has become a case where you are using the wrong piece of gear for every key...

Re: Live Production/Streaming Challenge

Well John, You have certainly put a lot of thought into your signal flow. You are going to be just fine. I have done hundreds of these things. Give yourself plenty of set up time and you will be...

Re: Live Production/Streaming Challenge

I don't think that is the delay he is talking about. I think his video signal is going cat5 and the audio XLR. They are a half second out of sync,

Re: Live Production/Streaming Challenge

Edit: When we do cable runs in high foot traffic areas we go up when we can instead of down. Look for possible ways to run the cables at ceiling height instead of assuming you have to tape it to...

Re: Live Production/Streaming Challenge

A half second delay! That is crazy, and it is probably not coming from a 300 foot XLR run so where is it coming from? That would be my question. With XLR we deal in mil/seconds. Where is the...

Re: Piano audio - raising the bar

Re: Piano audio - raising the bar

OK, as many threads do, the story unfolds, I should have picked up more on "recital". So this is ALL children playing for parents? Is one of the kids yours? At first I had my audio hat on and...

Re: Piano audio - raising the bar

In addition to the $250.00 K6 power module it it seems they could make a cheap adapter without the transformer and battery circuits so you could just run it phantom power only. I wish they would,...

Re: Live Production/Streaming Challenge

Adobe Encore is yet another example of Adobe bailing out on a good program before they should. It was simple, powerful, and an overall great program. I still use it when I need to author a disk.

Re: 8+ people at a conference table

It looks like the OP may have gone away but here is a tip anyway. With a boundary mic the table top becomes "part of the mic". You have to be aware of everything on the table. The worst offender...
