Cineform Raw, like other raw codecs, is designed to preserve the raw benefits of latitude, etc.. With Cineform, after conversion, you can go into Studio and apply a base color correction...

Firmware 1.9.7 Release now out with in Camera format for BMCC and Pocket

Officials at Blackmagic have announed the release of Firmware version 1.9.7 which adds in camera formatting for the original Cinema Cameras and the Pocket Cinema Camera.

Yes. I saw that posting, so 1.8 is now official.

I expect that audio meters will be added on next firmware upgrade, whenever that is, but it is good to have functionality with sound available...
