Maybe consider renting? Its going to cost that much just for one filter. Otherwise you'll deal with color cast issues with the cheaper models. This is what we use,

From what I've read, the internal battery is meant for hot swapping abilities. Most people will want to factor a battery pack into their purchase.

+1 for vintage primes. You can get a helios 50 with an adapter for $35. I also use a zeiss 50 1.4 that can see in the dark for receptions.

I would think that the best tool is being used by the leaders in our community. If you look at them, they are using DSLR's (some migrating towards C300). The market rewards those that move forward....

If you read their website they call out weddings, so they are marketing it to event film makers. The main issue would be lack of on camera controls,...

People are guessing its the same sensor as the A-Cam dII, and maybe the same sensor the digital bolex will be using.

Same with long, its the form factor. One of our companies selling points is the unobtrusiveness. On consults we ask the couple if they would rather have a big video camera with a bright light on...

Luke, Just went through the same thing with my system. Is your c drive a ssd? I got some extra drives to get the scratch disk on a raid 0. We'll see how much it improves things.
