Sony Pro Support suggested using ECS for LCD screen, so we did.

Filming LCD Screens using ECS mode of PMW-EX1

Results are pretty impressive using the ECS mode, the only issue is having to adjust to the correct frequency with the jog dial.

Samples using new Turbo.264 HD stick from Elgato with Final Cut pro 6 and iMovie 09

the new Turbo.264 HD USB stick can now do 1080p, not with the old .264 and it is much faster with my macbook pro 2.4g+4GB RAM

i take stock 1080/30p footage shot indoors at 1/60 sec and +6db gain...

say you have one of those nice G-tech firewire dual drives set up as RAID-0.
