Everything is newer basically, thinner screen obviously.
I'm no expert, but from what I found.
Ram (minimums)
2012 model - 8gig min - 1600mhz **see quote below on upgrading ram on the 21.5"...

Update: After weighing my options, I decided the newest model I-mac was not for me.
So, I just put in an order for a May 2011 model I-Mac for three main reasons:
1) I can upgrade the Ram easier...

Assuming you are addressing me, yes it fits with handle still attached.
FYI, this bag has some velcro style dividers that I moved around for my purposes to make it fit properly with a lav mic.

I'd did not make the slider, I had a local shop do it for me and I'm willing to bet he machined the wheels himself.
Really light, all aluminum except a few bolts(that are stainless steel). ...

I recently shot some indoor low light footage at +6 gain. Looked good on the XH-A1's LCD, but was too grainy for me once exported. Live and learn, next time I will most likely not go much past +3...
