Not sure if this would be the solution but I noticed that the new preset after Apple supported New Sony HDV cam then the preset comes with Sony HDV
Capture setting instead of HDV Firewre Basic NDF....

HV20 is going to be used for more static shots without much panning. The idea is to shoot something with filmish camera work (decipline myself to shoot like film cam)...

Do a cleaning with cleaning tape just in case something went in and got stuck on the head. If you still have problems still then you should send it back for replacement or repair.

Thanks for the information. Sony directly aim the HVX200 market. It is big that they also included 60P overcrank, but how do you think 35Mbps hold up for fast panning?
