Re: C100 and Ninja 2

Thanks, Alister. I'll have to put each workflow through its paces to see how well my computer performs with the AVCHD. I'm perfectly content with how it handles my native 60D video files so if it's...

Re: C100 and Ninja 2

Thanks, David.

My plan for now is to record the corporate stuff my company does (quick setups, long record times, no grading) in AVC-HD, and record the promotional stuff in ProRes. I have...

Re: C100 and Ninja 2

Thanks for that info!

Regarding my second question, I understand that AVCHD severely limits the quality from the get-go. I am just wondering if converting to ProRes for workflow purposes changes...

C100 and Ninja 2

I have a C100 on pre-order and I am likely to buy a Ninja 2 shortly after my C100 arrives. One thing I can't seem to find anywhere is if I am exclusively delivering for the web, is there a benefit to...

Re: Anyone Planning on buying the C100?

Pre-ordered it on Wednesday once I had the money. I'll only cancel if reviews reveal that the image pales in comparison to the C300. I need the DR, the audio and ergonomics after shooting on DSLRs...

Re: Canon EOS C100

Jim, it's great to see you genuinely excited when you talk about new products that you're offering. Very refreshing compared to the canned pitches from most resellers.

Did you get a feel for how...

Re: Canon EOS C100

Oh! I didn't realize it had been listed as $7,999 on your site for awhile now. I was just wondering if you were going to list it for $6499 or not. Question answered.

Thanks! I didn't mean to seem...

Re: Canon EOS C100

Woohoo! Why does your site list it for $7999 then?

flashing green frames during playback in After Effects

I've been working with C300 footage in Premiere and wanted to test the limits of the codec in AE, so I brought it in. At first, everything was fine. Then I started seeing green frames every other...

Re: How is the Tokina 11-16mm on the C300

I see this is an old thread but I have an answer.

I used the Tokina 11-16 on the C300 this weekend on a music video shoot. It was beautiful. I think it uses a little wider FOV than on my 60D and...

Re: 2 different 32GB SanDisk Ultras (class 6) giving me trouble

I am now a satisfied owner of 2 SanDisk Extreme 32GB Class 10 (30 MB/s) SDHC cards. That shipped fast! I encourage anyone else who also is having difficulty breaking out of a bureaucracy loop to...

Re: 2 different 32GB SanDisk Ultras (class 6) giving me trouble

So I finally called SanDisk HQ and got my memory cards upgraded to Extreme class since I still hadn't received the replacement yet. They should arrive by the end of the week. I am hopeful that this...

Re: 2 different 32GB SanDisk Ultras (class 6) giving me trouble

I was once again sent the slower 15MB/s cards as a replacement. I tried to see if I could get faster cards this time as compensation for my trouble, but they said since they only represent SanDisk...

Re: 2 different 32GB SanDisk Ultras (class 6) giving me trouble

I did call SanDisk and clearly stated that I would not accept anything less than what I originally purchased so they are sending me another RMA number.

After I did that I decided to test these...

Re: 2 different 32GB SanDisk Ultras (class 6) giving me trouble

SanDisk sent me replacements for my Ultra class 6's. Unfortunately they were not the same cards I sent in. They were Class 4's with 15MB/s data rate. So I'm RMA'ing them again and in the meantime...

Re: 2 different 32GB SanDisk Ultras (class 6) giving me trouble

I feel like my knowledge of SD cards is in constant flux based on new (mis)information hitting me every few months or so. I never really know who to trust.

So I just called Canon tech support to...

Re: 2 different 32GB SanDisk Ultras (class 6) giving me trouble

Yes, Bruce. Thanks for the feedback. I am left with the only possibilities being that I was sold 2 defective cards, as slim as the odds may be on this possibility, or that the Best Buy I went to is...

Re: 2 different 32GB SanDisk Ultras (class 6) giving me trouble

I just reformatted one of them and did a test. About halfway through, the card gave the error twice in a row. I plan to return at least this card. I'll test the other one tomorrow.

Re: 2 different 32GB SanDisk Ultras (class 6) giving me trouble

I just got SanDisk on the phone and received some helpful suggestions on what I can try to fix the problem.

I may have file corruption issues on the cards and I can fix them by formatting them...

2 different 32GB SanDisk Ultras (class 6) giving me trouble

My camera is a 60D. The first SDHC card I got was a 16GB Delkin Class 6 with which I've never had an issue. I got a cheap 16GB PNY Class 10 and had a lot of recording problems so I got a 2nd Delkin...

Thanks guys! Yeah it's the 2.8, I should have listed that in the specs. I highly recommend it as a first lens if you're doing pro work and anticipate doing run and gun at all. IS works great. Still...

Thanks! Yes I sped up the song. I actually did the math wrong, though, which I was kicking myself for a long time over. I sped it up to 120% instead of 125% so I would lose sync after about 3...
