XDCAM EX in Compressor?
Hi Aaron - I don't see any XDCAM EX 25p presets in Compressor, only XDCAM HD at 1440x1080 - is that what you're using, and changing the width to 1920?

Also when I researched the unit, all other reports were good; pay attention to Sony info about flying with material on the unit (not recommended over a certain altitude) but we flew internationally ...

Did you go further to discover if, under Snow Leopard, FCP works APU with EX files that have been offloaded from cards? I assume the SxS driver...

Anyone know if there are any more long-lasting batteries available than the BN-VF823U supplied? Mitcorp here in UK say none available from JVC until August/September.

MBP 15" firewire?
Due to loss of ExpressCard on MBP 15" was considering a Refurb machine from Apple - but is there no Firewire on the recent models that do have ExpressCard? Seems crazy..

Viewing .movs from FCP transcode
What does a user (my client) need to play the .movs I've given him that were transcoded by FCP on import from my original XDCAM files?
He has standard QT player on PC, but doesn't have an edit app...

xdcam transfer logging info > FCP
Other than "Reel" (the clip's folder) and "Good" I don't see any logging info I enter in xdcam transfer appearing on clips imported into FCP - any tips?
