Maybe you're using an Avid codec inside that quicktime movie that you don't have on your mac.
From my experience, the best way to exchange files between PC and Mac is using Uncompressed or PhotoJPG....

I still don't have the Z1, but I assume that being able to soot 25f (or 24f) and consequently lowering the shutter to 1/25 or 1/24 makes the A1 a better low light camera.

So, if i go uncompressed SD it will be 4:4:4 ? Then definitely is better to CC...

Now that i solved my downconversion problems, i found some posts and articles explaining how HDV becomes 4:2:2 after down-conversion (to a 4:2:2 capable codec, of course...).

I have exactly the same problem, and it gets worst when you downsize it. Sometimes i use the Flicker filter to hide it a little.

1- Yes. SD16:9 or 4:3 is recorded as regular DV....

1- Yes. SD16:9 or 4:3 is recorded as regular DV. The dropout risk is the same, but you will loose fewer frames.

2-Use DV PAL 48khz Anamorphic.

3- Capture the clips as regular DV (lower field)....
