Hello Alister,
So in your opinion the best way to start using Slog is to use one of the PP setting, reset it and then just add S log to the gamma settings?

Another week and nothing. Does the competition needs to announce another new camera for Sony to get their act together?
I rather rent an Alexa for some stock footage I need to shoot than to buy Slog...

I guess that once you develop a reputation as a DP and you have explained it ahead of time on Pre-production you will mostt likely to get away with it.

What was the range from highlights to shadows?
I can see highlights blown and shadows without details.
Is it Vimeo or does it have to treated in a more powerful...

There is not a one tools do it all. You use the tool that you have mastered in the past and adapt it to your shooting and post preferences for this camera.
Like I said, I use an incident light-meter...

Having too mush light has never been a problem, close the lens or stick an ND filter and you...

It is over saturated, but that is the purpose of a grading test. It is to see how mush you can push it to see if it can hold.

I only owned the KiPro Mini so if I need 444 I would just rent the SLOG card and recorder....

I just wanted to make sure it wasn't just another flat preset. I was ready to order the full S-LOG card for $899 to have it in by the time a customer request it.
Any idea when it will be released?
